View Full Version : So my cousin just had a baby
kngdaka 05-09-2008, 12:16 AM My cousin who is in her mid 20s had a little baby boy yesterday. (no pics of either, sorry) I went to visit today at the hospital and I never really understood why people want to have kids prior to this visit. On the way to her room we passed the waiting room for the baby floor (idk what the hell the official name is) and a young guy a couple years older than me had just walked by me and I saw him show a picture of his newborn son to his family on his digital camera. I have never ever seen someone so happy in my entire life. His family was sooo happy for him, hell I was happy for him and I didn't even know the guy.
It must be nice to know you and your wife or your partner or whatever came together and created something that's truly special.
I don't think you OTers are going to accept this topic that well, but I figured I'd share anyway for the dads/moms out there to give input:D

GStam66 05-09-2008, 12:19 AM Eh, im too young for kids. :D Pregnancy scares with the ex = no fun. [&:]
35thAnni99GT 05-09-2008, 12:21 AM She's the ex, though. No commitments there, just blame it on her current b/f, you player.

35thAnni99GT 05-09-2008, 12:28 AM ^^ my nephew is the ****. He's so bad. He goes and lifts up girls skirts (ones I tell him to). It's a good convo starter plus it gives me the funnay points.[sm=bling.gif]

LOL! me too.
FordDude 05-09-2008, 01:40 AM Having kids changes your life, and you need to change your life when you have kids. fd
(It is a change for the better)
so you are the father? of your cousins baby?
congratz on the new baby.
kast1376 05-09-2008, 04:47 AM I have no kids of my own, nor do I really desire to.
That being said, I LOVE being an uncle! My nephew truly rocks. I have not seen him for about 5 weeks, and he has learned to walk since I have seen him last.
My other "step" nephew (Not related at all, but a good friend of the mom. She got knocked up by this POS, who then ran away back home to mommy and daddy. He then had his MOM call her and say it is not his kid. This guy is 26, btw) I do not get to see that much either, but I love him just the same. Happiest kid I have ever seen.

okbfd 05-09-2008, 11:14 AM The day my daughter was born is far and away the best day of my life :D For those of you who haven't done it yet.......all I can say is WOW......just wait and see.
35thAnni99GT 05-09-2008, 11:22 AM ^^ I'm sure it was, but I don't think the 17 year olds in HS are quite ready.
GStam66 05-09-2008, 11:31 AM Nor are the 20 year olds in college. :D
1990NOS! 05-09-2008, 11:31 AM i dunno know about fatherhood... considering yeah i'm still kinda young and everything but... it'd be cool to have a kid some day but i'm worried about having to give up things (racing, my car, racing pocket rockets, and hookin up vehicles)... and i'm just worried about $$$ issues especially now a days.. like i said i'm kinda young (24) but dont wanna be too old before wanting to have a kid... if that makes since.... congrats to being a new uncle tho..
But yeah that stuff sounds cool.~ i guess

actually, only the guy has to come. [8D]
and it's not really anything special, any two morons can make one. fewer people can put together a computer than can make a baby. ergo, computers are more special than a baby.
chriswells78 05-09-2008, 01:48 PM The thought of being a dad scared the **** out of me until it happened. I can't explain the pride in my heart last month when we walked out into my garage, he poined to my car and said enthusiatically "MUSSANG!" He'll be 2 in August.
