Well took the NPI 99 GT to the track tonight. Not happy. Search my post and you can read about why its NPI. Anyways my 1st run was the best, ran a 9.6 at 71MPH with a 2.0X 60 foot time and reaction of 0.094. Shifting around 5900 RPMS. I tried shifting lower at around 53-5500 but ran slower. Didnt get much spin on the 9.6 run. I saw quickshot up there and he already knew bout my npi lol. Anyways, next week the nitrous will be ready. I plan on starting with 50 shot and moving up to 75 max and 100 after tune. This is a wet shot.

Anyways is 9.6 a decent time for a NPI 99 gt with exhaust, k&n filter, 4:10s, street tires, upr o/r x-pipe and B&M short shifter?

Yea still can't get over the NPI New Edge, sorry man.  I'd figure you could run a bit better than that even with the NPI but not too much faster.  Get those PI heads on there

How bout you give us a quick & dirty explanation on the NPI and save us all alot of time with the searchs? And to answer your second question 9.6 isn't a good time for your mods. What did your slip look like?

The car is NPI, dunno why, found out when I bought the new manifold because mine was cracked. Someone prob. blew the car up and NPI was cheaper to replace it with.

Honestly I was expecting around 73-74 trap.  77+ that's New Edge trap speeds.  I went 8.7@78 with the same mods he has+ drag radials.  These cars don't trap high at all.

Hey quickshot, I hooked the rest of the juice up today, relays and wot switch, you have any 50hp and 75hp fuel/n20 jets you wanna sell me?

And I figured out why my car may have been running so bad, where I hooked the nitrous up the lines pushed down on some vacume lines and they were out, its a T, comming from the TB. One line goes to the EGR from that and one goes to the passenger side of the motor somewhere.

Also my service engine soon is on for EGR and something else, like 3 or 4 codes. Could hat effect it? They have been cleared a lot but come back, I think my egr solenoid is bad since it says its grounded out. I know it works I tested it by putting power/ground to it and it idles rough. But maybe it is not working when it should?

Well today I tuned up the car a little. Replaced tranny fluid, fuel filter, got some NGK Tr6 plugs to use with the nitrous, changing oil tomorrow, and still tyring to find out what causing my 9 codes from the SEL. I saw to wires on my rear o2 sensor were cut up a little and probably causing all those codes since they share the same 12 volt. But hopefully ill run better at the track this week. The fuel filter was VERY dirty.

Quick question.  How did you know your fuel filter was dirty?  I'm planning on changing mine sometime this week/month/season, and I want to see if its really dirty.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

Well when I took it off the fuel in it came out a rusty color and wasnt flowing too good. Also, you need a special tool to remove the filter. Theres a $6 at local advance for 5/15 line.

It wasn't intimidating the second time down the track was it?  i think alot of people don't go to tracks for that reason.
