cruising down by metro beach I see an old white cobra II coming up behind me.... as he passes I see a side exhaust, a shaker hood, big meats on the back with skinnies up front and the complete and utter sound of "BWAHHHH I'm a badass" coming from the engine... needless to say I got up to his speed and stayed with him to look over

it was an older gentlemen but had that look like he knew a thing or two about cars... anyways I took off just to show him I wanted to play... (just a 55-70 burst)

then I slowed down and sorta waited to see what would happen, next thing I know I see thick black smoke coming from the back and a vicious BWAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!... at first I thought he cleaned the tires at 55MPH and I was like HOLY CRAP! but quickly realized it was the side exhaust... anyways, I get over and let him get next to me and we both give each other a thumbs up and then I rev it a little bit to see if he wants to go for real, next thing I know he floors it and I'm playing catch up from a 60MPH roll he put's about a car on me and then I reel him in a half a car by 80-90MPH before we shut down... got a big whiff of that scented race gas and almost orgasmed lol

but let me tell you, with the way his car looked, from a stop he would have SLAUGHTERED me... everything underneath the car looked aftermarket from the back, and the rear tires were rediculous

he lives a couple streets down from me so I think I made a new friend :-)

I love the way my II sounds at WOT, I make people speed up so they don't get deaf from my car. I could only imagine how bad ass that thing must have looked. Please take some pics haha.

I think it's around the mid-late 70's but don't quote me on that

on a side note I'm pretty sure he had  a very close gear ratio with high gearing because a couple seconds before we shut down he shifted into the next gear and the car gave the tell tale sound of the OD gear (just leveling off in the RPM's but still trying)

and our race couldn't have been more than 100MPH

Don't get me wrong, I think a regular plain jane Z/28 is pretty boring looking, but a black SS on Welds with slicks and skinnies looks pretty evil IMO.
