My engine has a big cam in it & I want to put in a stock HO cam.

Anyone have a part number?

why would you bother putting a stock cam in. Buy an E303, or other aftermarket emissions legal cam.

Stock cam b/c this car is a daily driver when it's nice weather. Realistically, the revs stay in the 1800 - 2500 range with a very rare spin up to 4k. An E303 wouldn't be much use to me for the way I drive this car. Plus with ever increasing gas prices and this being a cruising car / daily driver, the best thing for me to do is maximize it for what it is and at the same time make it as fuel efficient as possible. The stock cam makes good power with good low end grunt and makes all the power I need for this car.

So, where can I find a stock HO cam? I don't know the part number or if some place sells them online.

i have a stock cam out of a 89 with about 54000 miles on it

BTW, I'm talking about a cam for the 65 not the 93. The 93 is a recent addition that I haven't modded yet. Currently I have the engine out of the 65 and this would be a good time to swap in a stock HO cam.

trying to find a STOCK '65 cam... first off, you are asking the wrong section. The kids in this section wouldn't have a clue anyway.

Since your car is carbed, you could (should) get an HO camshaft. All you would need to do for the cam to work is swap around a few plug wires on your disty. The swap from non-HO to HO will net you a power increase (not to mention better cam selection, and a sweeter exhaust note)... you wont sound like a chevy anymore!

HAHAHA...no not a stock 65 cam. Check my sig...it's a 5.0HO EFI setup in the 65. The engine is out of an 90gt and transplanted into the 65.

I want a stock 5.0HO cam to replace the big cam that's currently in there.

just pick up on the cam that stamper5.0 has, nothing wrong with a using a used roller cam at all

i have a stock cam out of a '90--- 48,000'ish miles on it... plus factory heads....

must be nice gas is to much to drive the mustang all of the time so i am stuck with the slow civic lol

you can use and cam from a 86-93 roller motor right? i got one i can mail you for $40 get at me, its got no marks scratches or anything on it, it was the stock pull from a 90LX with 33k orginal on it, replaced with a x292 cam
