Default who here has cut there antenna?

and how did it go? how short and how did it affect rception?


i was lookin into a shorty antenna but just cutting it myself seems pretty easy n cheap so should i do it?

It's a great freemod and it shouldn't effect the radio reception much, if at all.

Do it yourself, it's free and easy to do... and you won't even notice the reception lost (if any at all).
There is a tutorial at Mustang World .com and it has before and after pictures for comparison.

I shortened mine and repainted it black, it looks good, cut it to match the height of the roof. I have satellite so I rarely use radio, but when i do it comes in just as ****ty as terestrial radio usually does, no change at all from stock.

It takes about 5 minutes to do, and it helps to have a grinder.

MP3 cd's ftw. I took my audio equiptment out when I did the vortech and haven't put it back in yet.... whine and exhaust seems to be all I need for now.
