Like I already mentioned, some of these cars are just rumors, but I still wanted to see your guys opinions on which ones would be great for modding if they were produced. The new Evo and Sti are already out, hence why it didnt make my list, and the new GTR is way too expensive for the list.

ORIGINAL: drhoward what about those new turbo slobalts, they look like they will have some serious potential once the aftermarket gets some parts for them plus they are super cheap That was actually gonna be my next car I purchased this month or whenever they came out, but I figured with all the new cars coming out in 2010-2011, I'd wait and see what I have to choose from. Everyone knows I'm an Ecotec Nutswinger!! There is a guy at work that has a buddy that works for a GM dealership and he is apparently getting one as soon as they come out here (next month I have heard) I hope to see a few at the track this summer, I think they will do alot better in our thin air then the old s/c ones did (even the modded ones had a hard time breaking out of the 15's up here)

The high-altitude performance of a turbocharged engine is significantly better. Because of the lower air pressure at high altitudes, the power loss of a naturally aspirated engine is considerable. In contrast, the performance of the turbine (Turbo) improves at altitude as a result of the greater pressure difference between the virtually constant pressure upstream of the turbine and the lower ambient pressure at outlet. The lower air density at the compressor inlet is largely equalized. Hence, the engine has barely any power loss.

ORIGINAL: BicketyBam How about the BMW 135i? Too pricey for the list? That'll be a force to be reckoned with! I think stock it said 0-60 : 5.0, and didn't mention any other specs. I think it has tremendous potential, and is in the same ballpark in price as the other cars mentioned. The slobalt although it will be a real contender, is quite steep in price! nearly $23k for a cobalt?! Way to much!
