I'd say the GT should have this one.

A stock automatic F-body will not run 13.0. Maybe 13.2 with a freakish specimen and great weather conditions. It probably is more like a mid 13 second car (13.3 or so).

Rarely if ever do I disagree with you but this is one of those times...

I've personally witnessed 13.0s and 13.1s from bone stock automatic WS6, Firehawk and Camaro SS cars at several track rentals in good weather....

Even more amazing...

Those are unbelievable (and very rare) ETs for a stock auto. Those 60 ft times are crazy! Was this at an NHRA or IHRA approved strip? There used to be a 1/4 mile strip near me (Mid America Raceway) that was found to have a 60 ft marker that was actually 54' out, as well as innaccurate timekeeping equipment. People would talk about how they ran faster there than at Gateway International (world-class NHRA track). Not saying that those times are bogus, just suspicious.
Then again, the MPH seems right on (my g/f and I both hit 105 stock, 105.79 for me). And she managed a 13.36 on a 2.02 60 ft with 2.73 gears with a DA that was well above sea level (but not too high). But still, 4 tenths faster than that is crazy.

Well, the record for a bone stock LS1 Fbody, was set by an auto Z28. And it ran a 12.8X. Not going to happen very often, if ever again. But, it's happened once atleast.

and with his auto and vert, he is probably a mid 13 second car.

Wrong again... 02's can run a 13.0 all day, vert or not there only 100lbs heavier if that.

You're still here?

Without a tune, I'd give this one to the TA from a roll. Nod to you from a dig if you can drive.

we have close to the same mods, and i beat a trans am with exhaust fairly easy from a roll. from the dig i beat him by about 4 cars. although i'm sure i could drive better than him.

I know for a fact stock LS1's can run 13 flat, or even 12.9X at times. It all comes down to the driver. Of course, you won't see many dip into the 12's, but 13.0 is not unheard of and has happened.

For a 3.42-geared 6-speed LS1 to run 12.9-13.0 has been documented and accepted (except maybe for some people on here). But for an auto to do the same? Factory stock? That's nuts. But I guess there have been freakish instances of it happening.
