Go to ACE Hardware...pick out a nice sledgehammer...read the instruction manual that comes with it that should fix your problems.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

..but the light has stopped blinking right? What r U complaining about?

Pop open the case cover & unplug the CD writer cable. If that fixes your problems then there's your problem

Just unplug it and go buy a new one. Sounds broken to me.

If you are running WinXP:

-left click on start menu
-click on "Run"
-type "msconfig" in the search box without the quotes
take note of odd programs and google them to see which ones are useful.  Kodak EasyShare program did the same thing with my wifes computer by making it run slow at start up.  I deleted that and a few other ones and it started up fine again.  There is an inactivate button you may want to try first so you don't delete anything important.
