So im gonna be buying a car in the next couple weeks and after considering all the different things I want/need in a car Iv decided I like the Audi A6 2.7T Quattro.  I would probly be buying a 2001.  Iv been doing some research on reliability and while most people have nothing but good things to say about the car, a few seem to have had some major issues.  I know very little about Audi as a company, so I figured I'd see if you all have any experience or useful info on them?

Theyre usually pretty reliable, but when something goes wrong it usually gets pretty damn costly.

The 2.7TTs can also be made pretty damn fast. Luxury+power+awd. Those are all reasons why Audi is the one company I like better than ford

ehh one of my buddies bought a lighlty smashed one last year, got it really cheap and the damage wasn't bad at all, but after realizing how expensive and hard to find the parts were he sold it to someone else and got an SRT-4... i think the estimate came up to like a few grand below what a brand new one would've cost him.

Really? I've had the displeasure of working on them at my shop before and I can in fact say they are a nightmare to work on. <===== OPINION

An S or better yet, RS model, hell yeah, but the rest kind of bore me. I'd take an S5 in a heartbeat.
