Uh oh, time for somebody to exit stage left to the Shelby Section Hell no it wouldn't be worth it. Besides, unfortunately your car has some serious depreciation involved and you will probably not find a Shelby (new or used) for sticker or below [] Why loose money on the sale/trade of a Saleen and then WASTE money on the purchase of a Shelby (not that Shelby's are a waste). I assume you car is a DD....my point is why spend OVER sticker price for a car that will be driven all the time [&:]

If your question is, will anybody trade you straight up - I highly doubt it. Shelby's stickered for $45k and sold for $60K and up. Nobody is selling even used Shelby's that I have seen for under the sticker price.

+1 ^

These Saleens don't have "collectible" value anymore- theres simply too many of them, and too many other "limited production" Mustangs out there to choose from.

You would lose your butt.

Check Ebay- you can get a brand new leftover 07 S/C car with just about everything for 48K right now. Some 08's I have seen going on there for 52-54K loaded with S/C- cars that sticker for 65K.

Dealers are givingthe Saleensaway right now, which means resale and trade values are in the dump..

Do NOT!!!!!! surrender to the $helby hype!!!!!! In the old days I was a Shelby guy. But Barrett Jacksonand company has taken him into the $tratosphere. I too wanted a GT500, and had the opportunity to get one at sticker and passed one it before the hype hit the fan.The Saleen allready in the garage is the better plan. The Saleen style is much better LOOKING any ways. IMHO

Definitely not worth it. I would rather have the Saleen over a Shelby anyday.

The only thing the GT500 is good for is the engine, IMO

Glad you came to your senses.

If you don't care about becoming lost among all of the other million 05+ Mustangs go get the GT500.

I will tell you though I drove a GT500 with the Whipple on it last week and all I can say was it reminded me of the new ZO6 in straight line acceleration.[:-]
