The owner of business that competes with mine was talking all sorts of sh!t to my brother about our Z06's. He said he wants to line up with the two of us and show us what the GT500 can do. He was saying how it just blows the tires off at will. That's a good thing? Like I said - his GT500 is bone stock. Funny thing is that his last car was a C5. I don't think he understands the difference between a base C5 and a C6 Z06. I guess he will find out.
From a dig, he's history - no doubt in my mind. I am curious as to how well he would hang from a roll though. That extra weight is less of a factor.
And in case anyone forgot, I LOVE the GT500. Definitely want one.
I think you have the win on a stock GT500. If he spent $1100 on an evolution stage 2 and some gears I think he would have the edge. Stock for stock, Z06 wins.

He only talks sh!t to my brother. When he talks to me, he just listens because he knows I know more than him about cars. A month ago he was at my place and we were talking about his car. I told him the first thing he should do is get some decent tires on the car. The stock tires are way to narrow. Then I told him gears and a tune. He didn't listen. Maybe he will when he gets lit up.
I'd love to come here and tell you I lost to a modded GT500. A) because I love the car and B) it would give me a HUGE reason to get that cam package.

best trap is 122 but that was on the race tune/setup best trap on street tune with 15" rims was 118.5 best trap on street tune and 18" rims was 114 <----- how i drive everyday.
so the gt500 and the c6z ive raced were on my 110-114 trap speed setup.

Ah..did you ever get all your **** fixed? Run the race tune and setup again and knock down another mph or two

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you're fast.
after putting in a new diff, and upper control arm, i blew another transmission.
so now im actually swapping a tr6060 (gt500 trans) into the v6. a lot of custom work, but itll be worth it to be able to shift.
when all said and done, once i go 14psi, and the race tune setup i should be able to get into the 125mph range, which should net me at least a low 11.
Isn't the tr6060 what they use in the '07-'08 ZO6's? I know the T56 was in the '06 Z
not sure what the new z06's use, but i know the gt500 uses it. i know corvettes were going to use it, just not sure if they implemented it yet. also i think the new viper is getting it
