NITROUS

EXile88GT -> NITROUS (5/7/2008 7:21:31 PM)

i dont feel like paying big money for a blower so i'm thinking about nitrous. how big of a shot can the stock motor safely handle? do our cars work well with nitrous?

Consider searching. I think 75hp is fine w/o any modification. 100-125hp need colder plugs.

craezjo -> RE: NITROUS (5/7/2008 8:40:51 PM)

ive heard a tops of 125

    from what i understand a 75 shot or less doesnt require a tune meaning over 75 does....and also dont go more than 125 like craezjo said! hope the more knowlegable guy chime in.

Just in my limited research I came across using any more than a 100 shot and you will be burning plugs fairly regularly.  I am thinking about spraying myself and think I will stick to a 100 shot...

yea i was thinking about a 100 shot. would i need to upgrade the clutch or can the stock clutch handle it because i know alot of guys that have blowers on their mustangs and end up upgrading their clutches

I think you'll be fine with the stock clutch for awhile because your not always spraying....you cant turn off the supercharger or turbo. i guess it just depends on how much you spray and how much your at the track.
