?????baffled windsor cam question

ok here goes, i'm a novice engine build and i just came across a deal on a windsor short block, now dont get me wrong it's not in pretty shape bbbbbeeeeeeellllllllliiiiiiieeeeeeeeevvvvveeeeeeee me, but i know what the bore/stroke is going to be 4.125/4.000, comes out right at 427 cubes nice right, i already have a turbo that i can use, it has an adjustable waste gate so power for the street or the strip, my question is where can i gat a hyd. roller camshaft for a forced induction application????? o and what heads and intake?????

I wouldnt run a 427 w/forced induction unless you had an aftermarket block

+1

That block is not going to hold up to any amount of boost with a big stroker

really? hhhhmmmmm well how about a NA 427.... what kind of cam then, remeber that it needs to be a hyd. roller for the valve lash deal and the not so careful break in on the cam

1. Main Stud Girdle FTW 2. Comp Cams or Crane will custom grind you a cam if they dont have one in stock 3. I have found that Dart or Ford Racing roller cam bearings work the best, personally I would go with Ford Racing Roller Cam Bearings, Clevite 77 H-series Coated Main and Rod Bearings, Crane Cam and Roller Lifters w/gold race rocker arms.

What kind of block is it? Dart blocks, and some others, are capable of 4.125 with plenty of cylinder wall thickness, but I doubt you can get that out of a stock block without serious over heating issues.
