Well I took apart my vent windows for my 67 to get re-chromed. I bought all new ruber, felt, etc for them. Here is the problem :
Their is a piece that looks like an inside gasket that the glass sits in. I cant find any where. I was told by someone that it was glass tape but im not sure thats right. The old piece is harder then rubber and sits in the channel the glass slides into. Here is a pic!
Thanks for the help head of time. I think I may be looking at this too hard. I know NPD sells a roll of rubber channel tape for the main windows, do I use the same for these? They sure had no clue, they just wanted to sell me 2 new windows for a tone of cash

Is NOT the gasket that he's referring to. He needs "glass setting tape". It comes in three thickness'es IIRC..... 1/64th, 1/32nd and 3/64ths" thick. You won't know what size you need until you try setting the glass back into the stainless channel. NPD sells the tape, but only in one thickness. You'll need to find an automotive glass shop that's been around for 20 or so years to find anyone who knows what you're talking about as newer cars don't use glass setting tape.
