I just picked up my '66. Drove it home 187 miles. I noticed that my kickdown cable the goes from the transmission to the acc. lever had came off. What is the correct way to adjust the cable? I see there is a threading end with a swival attachment bolt. How is the lengh adjustment done?

Here is a BIGGER problem I have with the car. There is a line of tranny fuild up my driveway from the car. Could this be from the kickdown cable NOT being attached? Too much pressure in the case? I'm not sure where the fuild is coming from yet? (Still cleaning up the mess!!)
Thanks for any help.
Ken

If the tranny is only leaking on an inclined surface, it's your rear seal.  Shouldn't cost much to fix.
