Default Stock Cats

How much hp are the GT's losing with the stock cats. Some write ups think that the exhaust is choked up in that area, but I have not been able to find any Dyno numbers proving this. Does anyone know?

i talked to a salesman at JBA and he told me that the cats on the new mustangs are already hi-flow cats. basically, unless you are going to eliminate them all together, then there is no point in trying to replace them.

How come the car is so quiet then. I have Power-flo and my car is much quieter than my friends 03 GT with loudmouth and all 4 cats.

The reason I would replace the cats is to go with an x pipe.

Where exactly did you "hear" this? I'm getting ready to but the SS Bassani X w/ CompCats and it the info is reliable I wouldn't mind saving $200.
