Think about selling my 2007 GT500 Super Snake 725hp #58! What do you think it might sell for? It is the Tungsten Gray with all options. Including polished supper charger, and coilovers. I see a GT500 KR on Ebay at $144,991 with bids up to $95,500 already. Will my Super Snake #58 bring in $199,000. I would sell in the $150,000-$199,000 range if offer was made.
If you or anyone you know wants more information on the car let me know. Car had 1140 miles on it at drop off and will have 20 miles on it afterwards. I plan on driving it off the Shelby lot and home. I will have car no later than 5/21/2008. I have pictures of it at Shelby now if you want to see them let me know.
What is this car worth? I know that to build one it would be $49,000 sticker + $30,000 mark up + $33,000 Super Snake kit. About $102,000 on the cheap side. Some mark ups are $75,000 alone.
So is $199,000 for #58 out of the question????????????

lol, only if you find a sucker with lot's of money. First off the car is not brand new so it lost some value as soon as you drove off the lot. Figure a car with 1000 miles and a 2007 so it is a year old will depreciate to about 45k if your lucky. Forget the markup because anyone can get a GT500 for Sticker now if they look. 2009 model's will be out soon so why would anyone pay a markup? 33k for the Super Snake package is expensive but at best you might be able to get 78k for it and that is if your lucky. Most of the time any mod's you add on you only recoup a fraction of what you spent on the mod. The KR will be worth a lot because it is truly a limited number being made. I am not so sure the SuperSnake will attract the same kind of attention.
A few good points, but the Super Snake is an extensive package campared to the KR and next year the GT500 will be a KR stock with 540hp.
Also you can not get a GT500 Super Snake at a dealer you have to go through all the positioning at Shelby to get one. And as of now they are sold out. Also the Super Snake has functioning rear brake ducts. This was only done on the '64 and ;65 GT500's all other due to cost cuts were not real rear ducts just faux.
TRUE Shelby cars and the Super Snake new????????????????? Rememebr the Super Snake name is the highest ever sold Shelby. Super Snake #1

The KR and the supersnake are completly different cars, and you are a moron but you do sound like the kind to find a sucker so who knows. The KR is a limited edition that is the 40th aniversary commemoration to the mustang GT500, it's being sold in very limited numbers.
The super snake is just a fast car.
I've seen GT500s for sale for sticker at $42000, and the SS kit costs "$27995", so that's 70k for 725hp and actually in line with the non special eddition mustang range (costing less than $100 for 1 hp) which it should be because the super snake isn't a special edition any more than a Factory Whipple Mustang GT is even if it is out of stock.
Sorry.
Other than that, like you said the Super Snake #1 was the highest selling Shelby ever, so even if this car is just a fast mustang, mybe in 50 years it too will be the #1 selling Shelby.

I dont get the (Also the Super Snake has functioning rear brake ducts. This was only done on the '64 and ;65 GT500's all other due to cost cuts were not real rear ducts just faux.)
is the 64 and 65 # for the 07 super snake? or do you think ther was a 1964 and 1965 shelby gt500? because 1965 was the first year for the shelby gt350 mustang and the brake ducts are under the car, 66 and 67 are the only years the shelby gt350 (1966) and gt500 had functioning rear brack scoops on the side.
Take what you paid for the car before the SS upgrade package and minus 20% the instant it was driven off the lot (been that way forever). Now factor in the cost of the SS package and minus 20% and the fact the car has no warranty now with that package. The KR is a factory limited edition run (1000 this year and 700+ next year= the number made in 67-68) but you do not have one so you cannot get the price you are thinking. First you have a GT500 with an upgrade package (granted a very nice package) and thats it other than the coil overs. Second -Anyone who knows the stang and all the many options on the car will know that the rear cooling ducts are part of the package for the SS option from Shelby motors. Regardless- I would seriously rethink what you want to sell the car for and you will get laughed at if you start the price for your car on Ebay for $150-199,000. I would suggest starting at 80,000 and see what happens from there. Just made up numbers but ex- $60,000 for car brand new+ 27,000 for SS upgrade= 87,000 - 20%= approx $70,000 actual value...factor in the demand for the car you might see over 80,000 used.... JMO

We talked to a guy at the Hermann show with a 725hp Super Snake. First the number on the car means nothing. Shebly will give you what ever number you want. Second the car does have a full 2 year warranty but it puts down 586 to the rear wheels. The guy was bummed out. It runs a KB detuned. To me personally the car was a big let down. If you want 725hp you have to pay more and lose warranty. The car had some cool BS stuff on it but they are for sale now for under $80,000.00. I got offered a gabber orange one for $82,000 that was upgraded to a true 725hp which is 650 at the rear wheels.
They even used the cheap hood pin kit? Not even the Shelby pins.
Couple of pics.
My dyno sheet. If you are going to build it at the least build it right.

I doubt you'll see anything in the $150,000 range, the hype isn't there for the Super Snake, only Mustang guys really know about this. Good luck on your sale though. I'd say be happy if it gets close to $100k
