Ok, so i currently have an FMX trans that came with my 72 and while I'd really like to keep it seeing as how they can be kinda rare to have or find, I'm finding myself conflicted because i want a nice simple aftermarket shifter installed and I haven't found even one for the FMX. Not to mention the availability of parts for it. Now, on the other side of the garage I have a nice C6 trans that I could drop in and there are plenty of nice aftermarket shifters for it that i have found and parts seem to be much easier to come by. But, then i would have to shorten the driveshaft. Would it be worth it almost to drop in the C6 instead of keeping the FMX? Has anyone here had their driveshaft shortened and about how much did it cost? Anyone want the FMX? lol
I'm sorry, I meant would I need to have the driveshaft worked on, anyone gone from an FMX to the C6 on here?
