After storing my 96 Mustang for the winter, it has developed the distinct odor of dead mouse. It comes out when I run the heater, vent or AC, but there is no fan noise. I figure a dead rodent is somewhere in the system on one side of the fan or the other.
Can someone advise how to tear into this project? Thanks!

I'd start with the vent from the outside. It my have not gotten in that far. Option 2 is get a few cans of lysol and turn on the ac/heat and spray the cans in hte vents just below the windshield and let it get sucked in.

Lysol wont help anyway--- like febreze says (it just hides the odor for a minute or so then it right back)... Best thing is just to dig as far as you can and see what you find. Turn on the air/heat see where the smell is the richest, and start there... Then if all else fails, go to a ac repair shop and see what they can tell you...

Works in the fridge, will work in the Pony. We keep a box in all our cars stored in the shop. It removes even the old musty odors also. Buy the one that was designed for the fridge. Has two sides you can peel off and not worry about it spilling.
