After having my 08' Bullitt for three months and doing the math with the mods I had planned,I said the hell with it and bought a GT500.I was at the Ford dealer looking at a 427R to get an idea what was involved with a KB install,Yes I know they have different superchargers,But I was looking for a general idea.I found this car sitting on the back lot.08' stripe delete with no options,Exactly how I would have ordered it for sticker. At 44K I could not resist!BTW,This thing is relatively fast for a two ton car.On the way home from work this evening I caught a Ram Air LS1 T/A,Which I love,And made short work of him.Checking on a pulley intake and tune combo for it right now.

Nice new ride you have there. Didn't realize you bought one, haha. Get some limo tint on there ASAP. And start modding, we don't want to hear about you getting beat by Corvettes.

Congrats on the sick new car! With those new mods, pick up a set of drag radials too and reak some havic! With DR and those mods I can see you cracking into the 11's with a good driver mod. Again, enjoy the new car and don't forget to crush as many LS1's and LS2's on the road that you can find. You got a C6 killer and with the mods your doing off the bat, dare I say future C6 Z killer?
Anyone else think it's funny to just see it sitting there with a hose?
Almost like a normal car enthusiast owns it?
I don't know about some of you, but all the hype from the media and Ford, and some forum material almost makes me think of it as a super rare collectable that you'll never see on the street.
Of course I realize it's not that rare, but it does seem neat to think of someone just washing it in their driveway

I just saw one about 10 minutes ago on my way home, Grabber Orange I believe, two "older" folks in it, 60's at the least. "POPS SNK" on the plates Hes way past his midlife crisis, so maybe he really likes hp......
Edit: congrats on the new toy, I like it without the stripes, that color anyways

The Bullitt was 32K.A KB and some extra mods would put me at 40K+ and waaaaaay out of warranty. The Shelby GT500 was 44K and all it will take is a pulley change,CAI and tune for some really nice extra HP.In the end the GT500 will retain its value much beter also.I couldn't resist.I wanted one when they first came out but was not about to give 10-15k over MSRP.Now at sticker they are a fair deal and the engines will take a heck of a lot more power than the 4.6.Add in some forged guts to the Bullitt and the price invested versus the possible return gets insane.BTW I do like odd cars,07 Shelby GT,Bullitt and now my favorite Gt500.I'm in love with it.
