Hey guys I was just wondering if there is anything that I can legally do to get my money back. I bought a turbo kit online in January and have been waiting ever since. The website states that there kits are shipped within 6-8 weeks, I was also told this on the phone several times.I paid for half the kit in January and then the other half a while ago when they told me they shipped the kit. So far I have only recieved about half the kit. I have made several phone calls and been E mailing the company every couple days. This has got me no where. I wanted to have this car built for the end of April.
I wish I could just get my money back so I could go buy a different kit or a supercharger,I have over $5000 tied up in this.
Have any of u guys had to deal with this BS buying anything online b4?Does anyone know if I can do anything about this? Will the Credit Card company help me get my money back? Is it time to get a lawyer?

Hp, they are suppose to make really good kits but there customer service.... I dont know if they are just really swamped with back orders or wtf is goin on. On there site there return policy is 5 days after u cancell a order your charged 25% of the kit, 50% after the kit is shipped. Im going to try to cancell my order but I dont want to lose out on a lot of $. But I also dont want to wait any longer for my kit. I was talking to a couple people at a local mustang shop and they said orderd the same kit and it took one guy 6mnths and another guy it was almost a year.

Call pretending to be your own lawyer and try to intimidate them into getting your money back.  Its free, theres a chance it will work(but it probly wont) and itll be lotsa fun  Then its time to call a real lawyer

First Off please post the website you purchased from so the rest of us do not purchase items from them as well.

Second, You can easily have them refund you your money if you ship them back the crap you bought.

Third, i wouldnt recommend pretending to be your own lawer. That could get ya in loads of trouble if they found out.

as long as he didnt claim to be another person I dont see it as being a problem. it is completely legal to represent youself its called PRO SE. Im am currently doing this myself, it just takes time to research the law and how to go about typing motions etc.

Hp,

Enough said.

HP is notorious for 6 month not 6 week delivery and handing out empty promises and half shipments left and right.

You will get your kit .................. eventually ........... just give it another 2-3 months, lol

I know that the company will most likely come through with the kit sooner or later. But I didnt sign up for the 6-12 mnth plan when I bought the kit.

I have read a lot of bad reviews on www.theturboforums.com just wish that I would have read these b4 I bought the kit. I read all good reviews prior to ordering the kit. Thought that they were a good place to buy. They have been getting alot of good reviews from the mustang  magazines... MM&FF,modified mustangs ect.

They get good reviews because they buy add space in the magazines, hell RPMOutlet gets good reviews in the Mag, but every person I know that has ordered with them has been screwed in some way.

By the way,  it seems the warranty will be out before you recieve anything. Their warrant y starts the day you send them money, not the day you get your parts.

call your credit card company. file a dispute of a charge for not receiving a service you were promised. their dispute department will research your purchase with the company, gain all the paper info required to file a lawsuit and either A) lawsuit will be filed and you will get your money back or B) the credit company will credit all 5k back to your card and the credit company  will get their money back from the company. either way you'll win. thats why i love credit cards when used properly

If you paid through cc, dispute charge and cancel order. ****ty company that does that type of business and puts you on hold that long after you paid. They throw that big cancelation fee on there to try to keep a few orders shunned by their bad business or get some free cash by people canceling order after it's been placed.
