Again I'm reading through and I noticed a lot of upgrades of all sorts I was just wondering did all you guys who've done big upgrades throw your warranty to the wind or what?

From what I understand, mods like duals will not void your warranty unless something happens to the engine and Ford proves it was caused by the dual exhaust. I have not heard or seen this happening....yet.
Some guys do get intakes with tunes but if they have to take the car back to the dealer for work, they put the stock items back on and disconnect the battery to reset.

The only thing I have done majorly was adding duals. My dealer has not said a word about it.

Get a tuner, a cai and a good performance muffler. If you have to go to the dealer for warranty work, change the tune and cai back to stock, simple and fast. No dealer will say anything about a muffler. These 3 performance mods will make a big difference(especially automatics!)in the way your Mustang V6 runs and should be the first ones done to your car.

No no i understand how the warranty works and everything i was just wondering if the guys with bigger mods just willingly gave up their warranties. Because the only reason i dont want to do any big mods is because im paying for the warranty so i want my monies worth especially with some of the dumb stuff that randomly happens i.e. the air bag thing and my right side mirror randomly just came apart.

Warranty...Don't need no stinkin' warranty

Actually, the dealer was impressed with the install and quality of the kit. I haven't had any trouble getting the few warranty items I needed taken care of. I certainly wouldn't be requesting or expecting engine repairs be warranty with a supercharger and tune.

duals will not void the warranty as long as the are cat back...most are...you should go for this mod 1st....

do the cai and tune (doing mine in june) and save the stock airbox, and tune on the tuner... this way you can put it back to original if you need to...

so far i havent really heard anyone having a cai and tune problem either....hope this helps...
