Based on some searching I have come to realize it will cost me $300 to add a painted CDC Classic Chin Spoiler!  Since when does a painted piece of plastic cost as much as an axleback?  I like the look of the chin add on & would like to add one to my GT but I cant justify 300 bones for a spoiler, a front one no less!  Is there comething I am overlooking?  Is there cheaper spoilers out there?  How much did you pay for your new chin?

A lot of us have the GT500 lower chin. Cost under $70 and is a very easy install.

It does require some minor mods to fit properly tho..  Nothing hard.  Once you hold it in place you'll see what needs to be done.

No offense but I like the look of the cdc classic a whole heck of alot better than the GT500.  The price for the GT500 is very attractive- I hope it grows on me!  I wont have to paint it either.

Free market economy - they obviously aren't having trouble selling them at the current price. If they were, it would cost less.

When I was at the dealer the other day,  I noticed some of the 08's have a different lip.  It was one of their premier GT's (not shelby or gt500).  Maybe eventually they will come with the cdc classic.

Don't count on it.
CDC are gready bastards...
If they don't make 50% on any parts they sell, they won't do business with you.
Ford at SEMA told me that. And others actually.

I was lucky to find a used one for $70.00 painted flat black. The guy I bought it from upgraded his GT to a 500.

Hey guys I got a quick question on the CDC chin spoiler. When it says that it comes ready to paint, what does that mean?  Is it black or some other color?

Thanks

It comes flat black. All you have to do is throw some color onto  it.

It all comes down to what you're willing to pay for that personal touch. I know I'd be better off not spending too much on aftermarket parts since I don't think I'll keep the GT for more than 3 years but I never claimed to be smart and so the garage is filling up with takeoffs. I got the CDC Classic and it cost me about  $300 (painted) as mentioned by the OP but I'm happy with it and for me, it's money well wasted.
