I have a 2005 GT with a C&L cold air intake and Basanni axle back. Can I install a BBK throttle body on my stang without having to flash or will I have to purchase a tuner to do this? Also, every time I install something on my mustang will I have to re-flash with a tuner?
You can, but I'm willing to bet the bbk is more of a pain and hassle than just keeping the stock or getting the gt500. Have you read how many people have had problems with the bbk tb? What other parts are you looking to install that would need a tune? Cai, delete plates, long tubes, gears or tires(could modify speedo with tuner for), fi, big shot of n2o yes.
I have a BBK TB on my car and have had no issues with it for the last 1.5 years. HOWEVER, many ppl on this forum have had many issues with it, up to and including getting stranded. Unless you are looking for high boost applications, or a large displacement N/A solution, I would recommend that you spend the money elsewhere. This is NOT a mod that will show any appreciable gains for the money, and the install is tought to mess up if you don't set the TPS voltage correctly.
Good Luck! ~Matt

What add-ons would you recomend for my 05 GT? I have a C&L CAI and a Basanni axle back on my car right now. In the future I am planning on installing a supercharger but for now I would like to get my mustang as fast as I can without one. Any suggestions would be great.
Good to read some honest opinions of the bbk tb from their owners. I originally had planned the whole common upgrade setup when I was first looking into my gt in 06. cai, tune, exhaust, throttle body. Everyones common switch on a gt pretty much. Then I started reading all the issues with the tb's and didn't want the hassle of being stranded or any other problems.
If you do some research, you will see nobody is doing throttle bodies on these new Mustangs. There is no power to gain and major drivability issues with them. So why bother doing it? If you are going with a twin screw supercharger then the Black Diamond TB is the one to get and it is expensive but there are two models. One flows 1600 CFM and the other flows 2000 CFM. The GT500 TB wont get you anything either on a naturally aspirated engine.
You notice a difference with a tb if you have a supercharger. I have one and netted 3rwhp and 7rwtq at the peak and noticed gains of tq throughout and not really any hp gains other than at peak.
