I got a SVO "clone" I guess everyone would call it. I wouldn't trade it for anything best car I've ever driven

I hate how those cars look. I don't care how fast it is, I'd still look like I came straight out of the 80's and that's the most uncool era in human history. Screw that.

More uncool than the 100hp V8 beasts of the 70's............?  Plus, I did come out in the 80's

Depends on what you call a lot of $.  I payed 2K for mine, gave it a good cleaning and a tune up, and started driving and modding.  You can find extremely nice ones for 4-5K on average.

My dad's 86 Saleen has the light thingy too.  The SVO's don't, they have a fuel switch and clock/timer gizzy there.

Sorry to bump but a lot have the light. I've seen an 86 with one. But I think the shape of the car on the panel changed.

The 80's gave us:

The first 5.0 "HO" Mustangs
Married w/ Children
The Simpsons
Most of the rock you play guitar hero to
The gen3 fbody
The 2.2 turbo Mopar cars
The six speed manual trans

But sorry bout:

the big bush in 80's porn
the Corvette 4+3 manual trans
Crossfire injection

Eh those are the short lists.  I think the 30s were the worst decade in human or at least American history.

if two of the best things the 80's gave us were fox programs, I would say that makes it a bad era, not a good one.  this is the network that created "who wants to marry a millionaire".

I love my svo!  It only took one ride in a friends 84 running at 17psi for me to get hooked.  So picked up a 85 2A for $2,750 and brought here home.  Mods list are 2.5" mandrill bent exhaust, gillis boost valve, MM caster camber plates, MM k-member brace, and thankfully all new koni's!  I cant wait to get the CAI, BPV, and turn the boost up to 18psi.  Ok enough yappin.....

And for the best of both worlds.....
