Default 1500cfm 10" Zirgo HP Radiator Fan

Anyone use these before? I was thinking of running 2 side by side. eBay Link Not sure how loud they would be due to their smallish size and high rpm.

Thanks

I doubt you could fit 2 10" electric fans on your radiator...

I just got a 70 style radiator for my 67 (same size, different outlet location) and the area of the fins was roughly 16.5" x 18.5". I personally would go with a single 14", or a 16" if you can get it to fit.

Btw, most car maintence stores have electric fans. I know my local Advanced Auto carries Hayden fans, and I think they are alot cheaper.. My radiator was a hell of a lot cheaper anyways...

I have a zirgo fan, their cfm ratings are BS, they are quiet BUT a 10" fan will flow about 800-900 cfm tops, if you search similar style fans you will see what I am talking about, Spal fans seem to flow closest to what they claim.

If you have a stock rad, a 16" fan should do it and the zirgo 16" rated at 3000 cfm flows about 1800, the biggset problem is making sure how much clearance you have between the water pump and rad, measure and then look at fan specs (depth)

Here, some more information and measurments..Upload the "electric fan catalog"

http://www.haydenauto.com/catalogs/index.htm

Zirgo probably displays the "optimal free flow" cfm. That catalog also shows the "typical flow" cfm which are a good bit lower..

I'm going with an Aluminum Radiator which is 25" wide so there will be plenty of room for two of them. Easily mountable even if the mount holes match up. I've actually seen 2 x 12" fans setup on these wider rads. I prefer having the dual electric fan setup over a single fan especially with the car being a daily driver.
