I'm thinking about breaking down and adding one of these. My car doesn't have anything right now and I'm kind of undecided. Which one would you go with? I can get take off pre painted for the same price on either one. Are they both bolt on or do they go on with adhesive?  Thanks

you might be able to find a v6 one for next to nothing on the forums since 6ers usually scramble to get rid of theirs. might be harder to find one in your color.
gt spoiler you can get a take-off here http://newtakeoff.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7808.
I just ordered a painted gt500 spoiler from thespoilerstore on ebay for 120 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAINTED-FORD-SHELBY-GT500-MUSTANG-SPOILER-2005-2008_W0QQitemZ110250448397QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110250448397

you'll have to drill for all of those though

if your gonna buy a spoiler you might as well get something other than the basic stock GT/V6 one..i mean its your choice but if you're gonna spend money on something, might as well use that money to make your car different than every other one on the road

Buy the GT500 spoiler from the spoiler store on Ebay. $120 gets you a nice spoiler, prepainted, and shipped.

The GT500 spoiler from the spoilerstore at Ebay. I definitely don't recommend the V6/GT spoiler at all, very plain.

Okay so it sounds like the GT500 is what I need. My car is the unique Grabber Orange so I need to see if I can find it in that color. Thanks!

Personally, I could care less for the GT500 spoiler.

Just my opinion. I can find many other stuff to improve on the car besides the spoiler. It also doesn't help that I probably couldn't set on one.

That's where I am at, I have the V6 spoiler and while it isn't the best looking one, it's not bad looking.  I may consider a different spoiler when I have done everything else (which wont be for a while)

Check out some of the after market suppliers like CDC and Street Sceens (sp?). I have the GT500 spoiler too but now it seems everybody and his dog Fred has one, they're becoming too common!
PS Weren't you the one who posted about all the cheap plastic tape on/bolt on parts looking hokey? Why the change of heart? If that wasn't you never mind.

The V6 spoiler S&X as it rubs the paint over time around the ends.
The GT spoiler is Plain Jane. The GT500 is a better improvement.
Be 100% sure you want the drag producing spoiler before drilling the holes.
Yellow spoiler delete trunk lids are few and far between and its far
easier to drill holes that it is to fill them.
Also unless the proper precautions are taken to avoid water leakage
in the near and far future, you will have created a rust monster.

check this thread out, it's pretty old so some of the links might not work but you have most of the names there. lots of options, some are painted but most are not.

I doubt he's going to notice any considerable "drag" with the GT500 spoiler.

I bought a GT takeoff spoiler last year, but I have yet to install it. I'm getting used to the V6 "low profile" spoiler, so I may just keep it as is.
Right now I don't see any problems with the spoiler rubbing the paint off.

Come next year, I may change my mind and buy the GT500 one.

No that was me. That's why I'm undecided. I don't like a bunch of plastic crap hanging off my car, for sure don't like stickers or decals. I tolerate it on my GT but really like the clean look for the V6. I'm thinking of leaving it how it is. I want some 20's though!
