So I have a 01 vert with a auto, he has a 06 tacoma 4x4 4.0L v6 auto. I have K&N Intake and Tuner, everything else is stock. His tacoma is ALL stock. We raced plenty of times, on the freeway, on the streets at the stop light, uphill, downhill and flat roads.... and he KILLED ME EVERYTIME BUY A LENGTH OF 2 CARS. what the heck is up with that? I know he has probably another 30 HP at the crank but he also weighs alot cause it's a truck with a extra cab and it's 4 wheel drive.
hes got lower gears than you do cause its a truck. i am assuming thats why he beats you, my truck would outrun my mustang no problems when it had stock gears. the 3.73s in it now no comparison. it walks on the truck
I'm not sure why you are confused. You have a convert which is heavy as balls, and you have an auto which is slow as a sack of dicks. Your K&N does basically nothing and the tuner gives you a few horses. You need to realize that just about 95% of cars made after 1995 are faster than your 16.5 second quarter mile mustang.

Well i'm sure him having another 43 HP, DOHC, and one extra gear helps a lot. Also my stang is 5 years older and has a extra 90,000 miles on it. I'm sure thats why I lost. I don't mind loosing to something like a STI, eclipse, camaro or something like that.... BUT LOOSING TO A 4x4 TRUCK TOTALLY SUCKS!!!!!
