Why upgrade, are you making too much power for your stock pump. On an other wise stock setup, I wouldn't go any higher than a 110lb hr pump. FI, 255 or 310 is what you should look into. N/A 155 or 190lb depending on setup and cam (this is not for bolt ons).

Can a 310 be gotten at a regular parts store? or do I have to order it from VMP? To answer you question , no I am not running too much power for the stock pump, but the stock pump went out so I figured I would replace it with a better pump since I do plane on getting a s/c or turbo at some point.

The 310lph SVT Focus fuel pump that VMP sells will bolt right into your stock tank. You also won't need a tune once you install it and once ou get FI it'll come in handy.

Could I pick up the 310lph SVT focus pump at a local parts store? If so what is the part #? Also what if FI?

It's a direct bolt in, it's pretty easy to do yourself, just awkward if you've never dropped a fuel tank before.

That's the same one as justin sells. However, both justin and the other places online send you the entire fuel pump assembly. If you try to drop the whole thing in you'll notice that the connectors won't line up and the lines will notwant to go together. However, all you need to do is remove the pump itself from the basket that it came in and put that in place of your stock pump. I know that it bolts up without any hassle because I've done one myself on the 01 GT.
