has anyone inquired from doug whether he would create an economy tune? i remember a member asked about it and stated that he was going to find out but i can't remember who. i been using my 87 perf for road trips but if can save even more gas for trips, that would be great, especially after the gear upgrade and high prices @ the pump. thanks.

It's called "return to stock tune".  If you're looking for better mileage, go for a hybrid of diesel.  Us Americans have been spoiled with the price of gas for the past 20-30 years.  We're paying now what Europe was paying 15-20 years ago.  Screw it, fill it up and floor it!

dont know why everyone is going nuts over econo tunes gas is not that expensive between octanes only 2 or 3 dollers per fillup. and from what i have heard you get the same or better gas mileage when you dont romp on your car with a perf tune

My BEST highway mileage with the stock tune had been 24.5 mpg. My BEST highway mileage(last year before I installed the 8.8 w/3.55s)with VMPs 87 mileage tune was 29.1 mpg! This was not taken from a computer in the dash but the old school way. Fill the tank till you see the gas, drive the car and at the next fill up, fill till you see gas. 406 miles and 13.953 gals. of gas. I still run VMPs 87 mileage tune and on a recent trip from Ala. to NY my best tank was 27.6 mpg(3.55s). My best highway mileage with VMPs 93 mileage tune, which I turned a 14.65@93.58 with at Orlando Speed World(April 16th)was a 26.1 mpg. Smoke and mirrors my ass!  My car is an AUTOMATIC with the mods in my signature!! My highway MPH is always 70-75. I'm sold on VMPs mileage tunes.
