yeah my dads house has everything i need to do it, just no space in the driveway or the garage. or time to do it. but its still 200 something for the head changing kit, 100 something for new gaskets, plus the cost of what ever i decide to do i.e. pi head swap, fix the heads, new npi heads etc etc. so its still gonna be pretty expensive...and to me its just money but i gotta make more of it first so it just equals time.

depends on which heads and who u get them from...brand new pi heads yes can be that much. 900 per head. if u get them from a dealership(which is totally retarded but i asked a dealership) they r 1500 per head. and a motor is 3400. those r both b4 the core charge deduction.

Or, you can buy a pair of used heads from someone for 200, and have a machine shop check them over for what, 100?

good point...but if they ARENT good heads im out 200-300 bux. ide rather spend the money for brand new ones. i dont want the chance of ANY kind of head/valvetrain failure. im lookin at 900 for new heads 100 or less for a used pi intake(that i will buy used) 200 for head changing kit, 100 for new gaskets(if that) and 700 for labor. so hopefully i can do the whole shabang for less than 2000.

ok so heres an update. ive ditched the idea of buying new heads. its too $$$ and im getting sick of looking at my car sitting in the driveway. i just made a bid on a set of pi heads on ebay, and a bid on a pi intake w/ all the little goodies that go w/ it. timeformiller might sell me his old heads, minus the lifters(thanx miller for the help) ive also repriced some things. head chaning kit: 105. chain tensioners: 40(pair). full set of gaskets: 110-ish. used pi heads:350-500. used pi intake:50-100. add the price for new oil, and anything i might not have factored and im lookin at anywhere from 800-1000. and btw ive decided to tackle this myself. i cant see almost doubling my expenses just to have som1 else do what i can do myself for free.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.
