A PI Engine with mid miles (50-70k) can be had for cheap... in the 700-1000 area. You can get it running again, and with more power than before.

id say fast track your deployment, and get someone back home to buy parts for you, that way when you get back, everythings ready to go, no waiting for parts, engine work/ etc. call a popular engine builder, spill the beans about your deployment, and your engine dieing, set something up with him to build you a bad ass engine, spend the money and do it right so it will last, and have a complete engine ready to go when you get back!

ok lets get something straight...i took it to USA racing engines, strictly performance, and M&J auto....ive had compression checks done more than once. ive had the valve covers off more than once. ive had a full electronic engine diagnostic done on it. AND NOBODY CAN GIVE ME A DEFFINATE ANSWER. in fact every1 tells me something different. but anyways, my idea is ether go find a donor car w/ a pi motor, OR wait till after my training and buy a dss long block. anyway i slice it tho its gonna have more power after im done rebuilding it tho. edit: but thanx for the support to those of u who gave it.
