What do you run at the track?

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you're fast.
Heh ya we'll see, although Brenspeed is waiting on sleeves for my x pipe, so it might take till next week. The tuner will be here tomorrow, I'll play around with it on sunday, when I do my brakes and stuff.
I think it was just funny everyone was saying you were gonna lose, and then that happened .
And just to clarify, I had the INTENTION of racing, although my shifter didn't. By the time I panicked, I didn't realize I wasn't fully in gear, dropped it and hammered, only just to spin my flywheel.
And to 99, his 1/8 stock time is in his sig, I don't think hes made it to the track yet, although tonight I know they're heading down. Damn rain.

Actually, i just got home from the track.
Took some practice gettin used to launchin on the nittos, wound up runnin a 9.47 at worst. Then i kinda got the hang of it and hit a new best of 9.28 @ 77.07mph, but the tires were still squealing through first and some of second. I guess i didnt heat em enough? Anyway, then i started gettin my **** together and having good launches, but was hot lapping the car hardcore, and wound up getting faster little by little as the night went on, but then they had to close. Also, my reaction times werent too consistent, getting used to the different tree and all i guess. 60 foots were all in the 2.1-2.2 range.
Was something like:
9.35 9.47 9.28 9.44 9.37 9.35 9.34 9.32 9.31
But i had more runs than that.
jim and i are considering messing with the tuner a bit to see if it helps.

YAH you destroyed him.... the LS1 Chase car didnt look like it was catching you TOOOO easily...
did it sound like i was revving it out?
as soon as scott gets the driving down, i would expect this race to be door to door
we all know ur car couldnt catch our beastly 2v.....
I agree its going to be a CLOSE race once he gets the tuner and X...
he doesnt need the tuner and X pipe IMO... a kid i know went 9.0 at the same 1/8th track that the OP races at with a manual 03' vert with only a shifter and borla catback on a 75 degree day. Same track where the OP ran the 9.2 on a 50 degree night. The Manual GT's should whoop on an auto GT given a good driver based on what i have seen (and having owned an auto GT for 3 years i can attest to ) So granted with the OP's mods vs a catback shifter GT, it should be a close race with the edge still in favor of the manual. If the Manual gets an x pipe and tuner, its going to get ugly real quick.
this is all assuming that scotty boy gets in some practice

there are been plenty of Auto stangs to run a 14.0 -13.9 stock on here. The first day i had my stang my Friends auto 98 gt beat me lol...... yeah we all know how that ended up the next few days lol..

fact remains that the 4r70W is a powersucker. The manual is always going to dyno a bit higher. I would expect the average stock auto 2v to be in the 215-220 rwhp range stock. So given the OP's mods he should be about on par with a stock manual power wise. I still give the edge to the Manual given the OP is roll racing. At the track many more factors come into play.
