thanks.  Cruising at 70mph on the way home today it stayed at 190 the whole time, but as soon as I slowed to 45-50 it started rising.  I got another bottle of water wetter today and i'll put it in tomorrow.  I'll post in here how much the temp drops on my next ride home.

I got a new cap and it doesn't hiss.[image]http://www.mustangforums.com/image/s4.gif[/image]  I should have took it in for warranty work.[:@]

Moose, my Coolant temps stay in the 180-200 range cruising.  I think you have bad radiator cap. I shouldnt hiss.

I dont think my installer put in any Water Wetter during my install.  I plan to add 1 bottle to the engine coolant, and a half bottle to the intercooler.

Let me know what Steve says about those blocks.  I'm not ready for a new block, but if it blows up, well, **** happens.

I plan to install a new radiator at the same time as the shortblock.  That new FRPP Aluminator 3V shortblock looks good. Anyone know if they are going to make it a long block with their CNC'd heads?  The 4 valve one is like $6300 MSRP for the complete long block.  Not too bad, might call Steve and see what he can get them for.

So how many Water Wetter bottles you have in there now? Just one?

I just have one, i flushed the coolant when I installed my new clutch.  I'm sure you could put 2 or more in and just add less antifreeze.  The bottle recommends atleast 15% antifreeze for a street car.[;)]  Straight water and redline water wetter is supposed to drop the temp 28* according to the bottle.

If I wasnt so lazy I would run water and Water Wetter in the summer and switch in the winter.

Maybe someday I will be more motivated.

Does anyone think it would hurt anything to run a whole bottle in the intercooler?

The instructions recommend it.[;)]
