Sure it wasn't a Mazdaspeed Miata? Those are turbocharged and I believe are only 14's.

it was red and I'm fairly certain it was an N/A Miata.... a maszaspeed would have did a better flyby than that IMO

I've got an 02 NA Miata. Nice little car I suppose, but it's slow as hell. It takes it like 9 seconds to get up to 65 mph. I attempted to top it out and barley made it to 120 mph, and I mean barely! Took like 5 miles. Morbid, the guy in that riced out Miata needs to be slapped. I have no idea why someone would want to put a fart can on one and draw attention to themselves like that, not to mention it does nothing for the Miata's performance. Turbo or no turbo, they are all slow and not intended to go anywhere fast except around a track. There are a couple nice, cheap, straight bolt up supercharger kits that can get them a little over 200rwhp safely. Considering the little cars only weigh 2200 pounds, that 200rwhp moves them pretty efficiently, some making it into the low 13s with a little more boost.

There's a 99 Miata around here with a big FMIC and a garrett turbo, not sure what kind, and is quick as hell and traps upwards of 115.

They can be made fast, no doubt about it.
