I just got my motive 3.73 gears in the mail. I was just wondering where you guys got your gears installed at and how much did it cost you? Also how long does a normal install take? Thanks

Make sure you also install a limited-slip with that!

I just called a few places and they quoted me at 300$ if I buy the install kit and everything so 300$ for labor seems to be the going rate I guess.

And there was whine... cause you have a bad install how bout the possibility of off-cut gear teeth? sure a poor install can cause whine but aftermarket gears are risky business (noise-wise) even for a good install.

unless there richmonds or some other company that has straight cut gears they shouldnt whine, the motives i had in my camaro and in my yota (front and rear) were dead quiet

different cars, different gears. its obvious there is something unique with the s197 that is making gear whine more common.
