ok so i was at wallmart by my school the other night and this kid rolls in with a real nice blacked out ls1. i had just finshed putting my gears in the day befor so i wanted to how id do. i start talking to him and ask what he has done he says nothin really like 1or 2 bolt ons so. he agrees on a race and we go he said to go from a 10roll cause he cant get traction from a dig.  well we line up and its even through fiorst second he started pullin and by the time we shut down at around 100 he had like 5 cars on me. we go backl to walmart and he tell sme he has a full exaust intake 4.10s lighter flywheel and a tune putting down 331hp. so im pretty happy with my loss considering with all that i thought it would be worse

why do people always not tell you everything they have right away? i mean if they tell you everything and win then good for them, but if they don't tell you everything and lose, then they know inside that their car sucks.

i once had a person at the track with a mustang like mine ask me how to launch and i asked what he got and he said "just intake and a muffler". so i told him how i launch and he did worse. then i asked him if he had gears, then he was like "oh yeah". then i just happened to ask if he had UDP's and he said "oh yeah". who knows what else he had. he was asking for my help and was hiding **** from me. that's stupid. i guess he tried to make himself feel better by saying that he didn't have many mods because my car with less mods was running much faster than his.

i always just tell them what i got when they ask.

I wouldn't beat on gears until they were settled in a bit.

And yeah, I just tell people what I got also, I sometimes leave out some of the more technical details, like I'll say a long rod 302, rather than a 302 with yadda rods and etc pistons that I had to do blah to make fit and so on and so forth.

I hated running into LS1's with my GT. Hated it. The Mach stands a better chance than she did, though I still get walked by the modded ones. I only raced 'em in the Mach when I was all stock though. I'll have full exhaust/NX soon enough, so we'll see.

Any fun run is a good run!

Nice death, and I hate it when people are not upfront...

Though I did forget to mention my ported heads rather frequently... it was always a brain fart thing and not really fair at all but I honestly would forget I even had the damn things ported.

Many street racers do not want people to know what is done to thier car or how fast it is. I really don't care if someone tells me what is all done or not. If I am racing for money, the only mods that I admit to are the obvious ones (like I can hide a big cam)

yeah, if I asked someone what is done to their car and they lie, race me, then tell me what is really done to their car, that's just plain retarded.  It's like the equivelant of a ricers saying of what all he does have but really does not, but instead someone is telling you what they don't have but really do.  It's just common respect to be honest IMO
