not gonna happen. the 6.2L is going to be the "Boss" truck motor, and its a work horse, not a performance engine. way to heavy for a car anyway. car and driver is just trying to sell mags...

yeah I'd have to agree with fordsbestcar. They should bring the 5.0 back into the spotlight or the boss 302 would be just fine.

not necessarily. the 5.0 will prob make almost 400 hp and won't suck up gas as bad. and the 5.0 exhaust note is better. displacement used to be away for power, but today tech is better.

heads are suppose to be 4v as a standard, im hoping that it's a larger bore and that the parts will be interchangeable. im still looking into this, but they are really tight lipped[:@].....even though i did get a number out of one guys for a 3.6x X3.6 bore bringing the displacement to like 4.97 ........lemme go find the number

well if its anything like the saleen 302 it'll just be a 4.6 stroker with forged internals and cams

uses a bigger bore to bring the 5.0 displacement as opposed to using the stroke alone, we are much, much better off
uses the 3.7 stroke to achieve the 5.0 displacement
configuration and 3.7 bore, stoked out with the 3.7 stroke (that Saleen and others obviously uses to date) ultimately displacing about 322 CID

If they are going for the classic 302 cubic inches it would be 92.20mm x 92.70mm = 4.951L, if they are going for a true 5L then it would be 92.20mm x 93.62mm = 5.000L << all this one got was a smilie and a maybe

400 HP 5.0??? It looks like my '04 will be on it's way out the door in '10. So much for not having a car payment!
