Visited LS1tech for the first time in a long while, registered tonight, but man do these guys have it in for stangs. Over here it's such a mix of many different cars/owners getting along, but it seems like the guys over there have a passion of hate for any stang[&o]

well actually I'm just a retard and read the site wrong, it wasn't LS1tech, it is called LS1LT1.com, but yeah nonetheless I remember going to LS1tech and having the same feeling

who cares? everyone is bias towards their own car type. when i was into imports i was whipping up on plenty camaros, stangs,vettes, pretty much anything i ran into in the streets. does that make my car better than those? no. it just means i spent more money.

he who has the most cash will beat any other car. there is no better car than another, it comes down to personal preference. i personally like the s197 looks better than any camaro or mustang for that matter, does that make it right? nope.

on another note i have a close buddy with an 99 camaro LS1, he has an slp, and full exhaust. and we are dead even. supposedly he make about 320-330whp.

Eh. I still catch sh!t over there from time to time but mostly don't anymore. I noticed I got a lot more respect after I got the C6 though[&:]

personally id rather have a mustang over a camaro. has noting to do w/ the performance, i just perfer the looks of a mustang over the camaro, plus im not a huge chevy fan (unless it comes down to vettes).. believe me, the LS1's are amazing engines for a decent price, and wouldnt mind having one in a mustang. but id take a stang over a camaro any day!

There was some Viper forum that has the most hate ever. A guy with a T/A registered there and made a thread, just to say hi. You should've seen how bad he got ripped for not having a Viper. He wasn't flaming Vipers or anything either.It was posted in the LS1Tech lounge somewhere.

im infamous in those parts, beating f bodies when i shouldn't, getting called a liar then tapping it and still getting called a liar. Then people call you out and never show up. There is a lot of good information but it is not found in the street and strip section ever

reading some of their kill stories in there, it seems anything is believable without much doubt. even an NA LS1 staying less than a car behind a c6 z06. as long as the LS1 is winning/won, it's believable. look out if you post a story beating one though.[&:]

Skim through the kills section, I ripped apart some retard LS1 owner that was bagging on Evos...The type of LS1 owner that makes themselves at home on a mustang board (and in real life rubs elbows in the garage with mustang owners) has a hard time even getting along with some of the crap that goes on over there.

My absolute favorite thing about LS1tech...

Been through those forums before, but they seem to move pretty slow (at least the ones I went to.) so I don't stay around there much. This is one of my favorite forums, even though it's a mustang forums, there is a good mix of people who drive different cars, and most of the people here are pretty respecful, and nobody really flames unless your bieng a D-bag. That's why I don't really go to Honda-tech. Everything seems like a pissing match over there. Hell, when anybody asks a question, the first three people who post tell them to search, which would be OK if HT didn't have such a ****ty search feature, and the rest of the thread is people arguing over the last persons info. I don't really go there unless I really need to know something.

The kill section there is junk, but the site itself has a TON of tech info, the hybrid section is always a good place to see some amazing projects. IF you notice the guys that are actually fast and know what they are doing don't reallt visit the kill section.

I've been on LS1tech an it's very very very useful for technical info. You wouldn't go into SVTp expecting to tout your LS1 so I don't go into LS1t to tout my mod motor

That is what I call 'Not a safe bet' and falls into'a fool and his money are soon parted'. ;)

Yes the LS2 is bigger, and makes more power but the GTO is heavier and with IRS has a slightly higher DTL % than an F-Body. I wouldn't bet on either one of them every time.. that's just foolish. Both cars have seen high 12s (though the GTOs may have pulled it off more times than F-Bodys..I don't know) and typically can be seen in the mid to low 13s. Driver to driver it's still a dead heat drag IMHEO. :)

the ls1 launches better and have a weight advantage. it would safer tobet on a roll race than from a dig.

Then again looking at trap speeds... it's still hard to stack your money on the GTO everytime and consider it a safe bet.

(Though I will say that a race in the triples surpassing 150+mph would likely be in favor of the LS2..just don't have any data to support either car as the winner other than the superior rwhp and slightly better aeros of the GTO. So I would have to lean towards GTO there...)

Depends on the race, in a real mans race (also known as from a dig) I would bet on the Fbody, it simply leaves so much better.

I agree with everything this man said. I went there and posted my sti kill got no reply, it's almost like if you don't have a 11 second or faster car they look down on you so I posted my kill here and got some good feedback. I think this site is a betterstreet racing section just because most of the regs here have fords,chevys,dodge,subarus and so on and for the most part know what these cars can do/with mods.

Corvette Forums are notorious for a lot of douchebags too. I posted up once just to say hello, the reason I joined (to gather info on the C6 because I'm considering getting one) and some pics of my Subaru. I got screamed at as being a ricer without saying anything at all :D

Ive only hung out on srtforums and nasioc (impreza forums) and both were really cool. That was before I bought my car and was looking around at different choices. I have respect for all cars and Ive had good experiences on all the forums ive been on.

I only go to the C6 Z06 section of corvetteforum.com (no "s" at end of "forum"). They are some of the most uptight pricks I have ever run across.

it is funny all car owners weither it's a ford, chevy, or mopar, all defend the home turf. i find that SOME f-body guys are a little more zealous about their cars. i like all kinds of cars. i drive a gto but have owned fords, mopar, and chevy all my life. with the right mods any of then can beat the other. it is too bad we cannot all get along like the great american rodney king said. lol

lol. I've heard that gen 1TSi AWD'sare capable of high 13-low 14's bone stock. :eek:I've had a couple friends with gen one TSi AWD's, that were lightly modded. Just intake/exhaust. And there's no way either one would've touched low 14's. My bone stock 2000 Cavy Z24 stuck right with one of them. He didn't launch it though. We did a small roll and he jumped it before I did and got about a fender. I hit it and he didn't pull at all. Actually, I started to creep up once I hit 3rd. We had to shut down though, because of traffic. If I had hit 4th or gone any higher, it would've gotten ugly for me.

Yeah, when I first found LS1Tech though, I got into little spats with Irunelevens. And it went on for a little while. He thought I was crazybecause my 2000 Cavy Z24 ran with stock SN95 GT's and Integra GSR's. Then, he talked about his GSR that ran a 14.9, with 150k bone stock. Then, about his '98 GT that was bone stock and ran a 14.6, or something like that, with a cracked intake manifold, I believe. He also got all butthurt because it ran with an extremely crappily driven '04 GT until close to 60. To give you an idea of how crappy the driver was, he ran a best of 14.4 in a '96 Cobra bored .20 overwithintake, exhaust, and 4.10's.I guess him and I are cool now. I matured a little since, and see a lot of the other info he gives, and he does know quite a bit. Still doesn't know the capabilities of my old car though.:Dlol.

Any car thats in the 13's on that board is considered slow by their standards....I guess since LS1 F-bodys have been around for a while that they have found their way into many younger owners (18-21) who want to be king of the hill in their hometowns, so they mod the **** out of them and look down on anything that is'nt as fast asa theirs......

I hang out at a local car meet in my hometown...Mostly F-bodyguys from nor-calls1.com (which are way younger than myself) and they are a great bunch of guys.....Ls1tech seems to bring out the worst of everybody..

Almost any group of cars you hang out with, someone with a faster car always feels superior to the slower cars. When I pull up next to a sixxer, I still try to give them the thumbs up or something (depening on situation). Once, I felt a vast "better-than-you" feeling, but remembered, it wasn't too long ago that was me sitting in front of a 120 mph speedometer.

I don't know TOO much about cars, but I respect most cars as a whole. Do I prefer domestic? Ya. Do I prefer mustangs? To be honest, not really, I just like'em, nothing much more to it than that.

I can't stand people that blindly hate other types of cars.

There's a few different silver Fbodies. An LT1 Z28 convertable with chrome 10-spoke SS wheels, a silver LS1 Z28 with some gay ass taillights, and a silver '98LS1 SS. If it was the SS you saw, then yeah, I know the kid. The car's pretty mean too. It's an auto, with a lid, bigger tb,shorty headers, catted y, no muffler, 3.73's, and a tune. I was surprised that he only ran a 13.3 up at Cordova last weekend. But, from what I hear, lots of people had major traction issues. And it figures. The time someone actually comes through my boring little town, I decide, for once, to go back to work on time, from lunch. Usually I dick around town until about 1 and get back to work at about a quarter after. lol
