Okay, so probably none of you guys have heard of a Toyota Mark 2 GTB. It's a sedan, with a 2.5liter VVT-i turbocharged engine. People say it's the old supra 1JZ-GTE engine with some minor modifications.
I raced a few stock ones with my 350Z and GT, and beat most (lost to a few with the Z, beat all stock Mark 2's with the GT). Anyway, some guys thought it'd be fun to watch me run with another one so with having experience beating them i don't pay much attention to the driver and just line up. He and his crew said he was stock with the exception of freeflow.
As soon was we launched he immediatly starts pulling away, normally i expect their turbo's to kick in my the end of 2nd gear. He smoked me with about 6 car lenghts, it was the most brutal slaughtering i've ever had. Me being the only American Muscle car in the dragracing scene, his crew was literally rolling on the floor laughing at my to them "HUGE" 4.6liter engine.
Before the race they were all like "don't worry it's friendly" and afterwards they were talking ****. Which really pissed me off. So now, seeing i'm looking into modding my car for real anyway, i decided to install a safe Nitrous set-up. I desperatly need to see, high 12's.
Looked at brenspeed.com and with no earlier experience with nitrous, it seems i need ALL of the parts available; 150-shot Zexkit, dualfuelpump, bottleheater/holder, blowdowntube, purgekit etc. I need advice, which parts to i need to have a consistently safe nitrous set-up. Also, how does the autogearbox hold up against the 150 extra hp?
Sorry about the long post,
Cliffnotes: S197 GT slaughtered by JDM Toyota Mark 2 GTB (obviously modded) Mark 2 Driver + Friends act like dickheads Mellowdien, pissed and seeking revenge Nitrous set-up advice... ANYONE??
BTW, we raced twice, but my friend only recorded the second race, where i let off as soon as he started to pull beyond 4 car lenghts. Still have to upload on youtube, expect it tomorrownight.

I know i come off as whiny and show no sportsmanship (with all the revenge talk after getting my ass handed to me) but like i said before a hundred times..it's not just me losing, it's them laughing at modern muscle.
Right now i'm checking which one of my cars to add a nitrous set-up to. So far, i'm leaning towards the 350Z, because i read there is no need for a fuel pump installation even at 125shot. The only thing still keeping me from ordering is, the management system.. seems a little hard to install (which i will be doing myself, due to lack of confidence in local half-ass tuners).

well if the only thing keeping you from installing the nitrous kit on your mustang is having to install a new fuel pump don't, they don't cost much (at least for the older mustangs....maybe the new ones are different?) and they take around 1/2 hour to install

Go nitrous! 125 wet shot will show them who's the boss! If I were you I wouldn't push it beyond a 125 shot, because people say that's pushing the limits of safe. Also, retard timing a little to run the shot or get a dyno tune. I forgot what the equation was, something like retard 2 degrees for every 50hp in the shot? Help anyone?
i say NAWWWSSS the stang. i mean you lost in the stang, so if you show up with another car they still wont have respect for the gt. So i say work the stang and go fry some rice. Just hook the stang up. If you really want to get into it : Full exhaust, new intake, Gears, n2o and a tune.

How much hp does that JDM engine put out stock?
280hp at the crank, same motor found in the Mk III Supras
edit: that's Japanese spec Supra's, not US spec

ohhhhhhhh man they mopped the floor with u thats not good. I say Nos that stang and eat some fried rice (thai fried rice is awesome), 150 will be fine on a 4.6 stock block just make sure u get it tune for it. You will make a real race and maybe beat them. Do u know their mods ?
