Birthday is coming up =)

Spaunen -> Birthday is coming up =) (5/5/2008 5:19:23 PM)

Well my dad said that he will buy me dual exhaust+pipes for my birthday. What pipe should he buy? He said that if you find everything, he'll buy it. Either H or X Pipe.  I'm thinking about getting flowmaster at's or gt-take offs. I want my car to sound the best it can be. So if you were me what would you do with your mustang? I'm a beginner at this stuff but I'm doing much as I can to learn about many things for mustangs.

If money isn't an issue, the Corsa kit. Simple.

The FRPP M5230V6 dual exhaust kit made by Ford for the V6 Mustang. Comes with everything you need and fits perfect the first time. Sounds great too.

mb2 -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/6/2008 5:18:01 AM)

where can i buy the kit?

tmsmith -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 7:21:13 AM)

FRPP Kit all the way. Comes with everything you need like everyone else said.

Its a little pricey but sounds the best by far in my opinion. I spent nearly a month shopping around a listening to videos and it was the one I finally got set on.

You can go to the FRPP website and look under store locater. If your like me, and the one closest is around 100 or so miles away, it maybe cheaper to just order through a FRPP distributor. Such as CJponyparts.com (where I got mine). If you watch their website, they typically have a 10% clerance running every now and again. Keep a look out as the price is some what high, but worth every penny.

ODDYSEY -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 8:13:07 AM)

Yep go FRPP.  I love it!  You know we should get a portion of the profit from all the FRPP kits we sell :D

Lol. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I laughed when I read that.

I've also been asking around for the best dual exhaust solution for my V6. A majority of the people told me to really consider the FRPP package. Once I have the funds saved up and the wife approval, that's the choice I am going with. ;-)

Good luck!

H pipe with Borla Stingers.  Hands down the best sounding exhaust that exists for the V6. (Also one of the pricier set-ups, though)

musicheadt -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 4:29:25 PM)

If your Dad is willing to drop $600.00+ on your present exhaust....Borla or FRPP duals will get him there quickly.  If you can't sell him on these systems, try a Pypes system.  It will seem like you are downgrading......but performance-wise....they all flow alike.  Sound quality is the real difference.

The Pypes dual system is (generally...I think) considered to be "LOUD" with a decent tone......and reasonably priced to convert our car to duals.

The FRPP dual EXIT pipes LOOK the best (IMO).....and I like those bumper trim pieces that cover anything that had to be cut from the stock bumper.

Happy Birthday.......btw.....!

Black Mamba GTT -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 4:31:09 PM)

My birthday is today!!!  23 years old and my present is in my sig[:D]

musicheadt -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 4:35:56 PM)

Happy Birthday!.....thanks for all the advice on the forums.

Mamba (the car) is gone :-(  (some lucky bastard has her now)

You found a nice replacement though.......... :-)

Black Mamba GTT -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/7/2008 4:43:41 PM)

Yeah the Mamba is basically gone.  But I can still visit her once in a while.  (Actually my personal trainer bought it)  O and op, I had the JBAs on my car, it sounded pretty good and gave me pretty good gains.

Me too actually.  Same age even.  I think you're doing a little better than me in the car department though. [:D]

Have you made a post anywhere about it?  I'd love to see some more pics and hear all the juicy details about the new toy.

Black Mamba GTT -> RE: Birthday is coming up =) (5/8/2008 8:28:01 AM)

Nah I haven't yet.  But I will make a story on how I love this car real soon[:D]
