Sorry but until the S197 4.0 sixxer came out, Mustang sixxers were far from respectable.  I'd say 85% of the cars on the road could beat it.  Are you one of those that thinks just because something has 4cyl that it's slower than a 6cyl? 

I can name off the top of my head several NA 4cyl's that would rape a pre S197 sixxer..........Sentra SE-R & SE-R Spec V, Ford Focus ZX3 SVT, Acura RSX & RSX Type S, Toyota Celica GT & GTS...........................Shall I go on? 

So I think it's clear it's very viable that a Scion TC could definitely beat a New Edge sixxer.  Sorry to burst your bubble!

yes it can, and the s/c thats sold for the tc does not whine like the roots style blower on the cobalts and other cars, you wouldn't know what hit you until you looked under the hood.

I do see alot of scions that think they are all tuff sh*t and I don't understand it.  They always go buzzing around and want to race all the time.  I work with someone who has one and he thinks that he can beat my other friends EVOIX.....I just ask him what he's smoking...ha and usually he tells me[8D] 

But I think it is the mentallity, if you have never driven a "fast" car, then you really don't know what fast is, and if they bought that car and they are proud of it, then I guess they don't know any better.  Probably watched alot of the fast and the furious but hey, at least the first one was good[;)]  I don't think that they are all retarded, I think alot of them are just ignorant.

Way to go SPEED RACER. Rev to get a race and then not only do you get outlaunched but you start missing gears. I think a new edge should be able to hold it's own providing the driver doesn't suck.[8|]

no super charger!!! he would have completely killed me with no mis shifts or mis launch

skitso you need to chill. Where are you at? If you're close enough to KY, pick any wed or fri and we will hit the local 1/8th I'll even pay your way so you can be schooled as to what a fast car is and what your car isn't. Hell I drive a slow ass 4.0 Stang and even I could walk away from you. THE 3.8 SUCKS. Sorry dude but facts are facts. Unless you have a s/c on your Stang it won't beat much. A friend of mine has a 3.8L Thunderbird and I can pull almost a full 330 ft from 45 to 100.

It works like this because you do realize you only make 190bhp and your car weighs 300lbs more than a tc? Stock for stock drivers race. End of why you don't get it\

PS-A V6 mustang is not top dog, I could see if you were pissed you lost a race b/c you had a V8, but a V6 just isn't enough displacement to be pissed about losing races to other cars about. V6=fun and economy V8=power and street beast with the right mods. Shoulda got a V8 [&:]

Of course, he doesn't have enough money to tune it yet "BUT SOON" he says [;)]




I love how for some people displacement titles the car...

just like the v6 porsche SPORTS car
or the v6 Nissan 350Z SPORTS car
or the v6 Ferrari SPORTS car
or the v6 Dodge Challenger SPORTS car

who cares what the engine is... if they can go fast YEAH!!! but the majority of them are bought to be practical AND sexy!
clearly i've mistaken MY sports car for a "normal" car... haha yeah...

yeah i know i drive a 6 and yeah alot of things could easily beat me but this was mainly me being pissed about the miss shift and loosing to a dusch

not about the car i drive at all
and im working on the super charger

and i didnt get the 8 cause i wasnt allowed
saving money where your parents have complete control of funds= dumb idea
it sucks i wanted a trans am w/a v8 but it was too much car for me
so im stuck with what i got

yeah elroy im in florida and i know what a fast car is i have friends who race at the track every weekend
i just like running my 6 around town

Today right before the light to my street I was at the light, next to me was an old sedan with a 70+ year old lady in it.. im looking around, light turns green, i put my foot down a bit, (a really light touch) but for some reason I peeled out.. even though its dry.. I think.. crap.. everyone is gonna think mustang GTs are slow if I peel out and barely inch ahead.. so I step on it a bit, get the pedal 1/2 down anyway.... then I realize the people around me probably thought I was an idiot for racing a grandma in a sedan (didn't even look to see what type).. but I still feel like no matter what i had done the other people around me woulda thought I was retarded.. ehh.. they could be right... [&:]

hmm nice list.. however are you aware that the Challenger first off isn't even on the road yet, and they're supposedly not even releasing a V6 model yet?  Not to mention, was the last V6 Ferrari made in the last 15 years??

There are plenty of V6 "sports cars" out there... and you forgot Porsche.  But, a V6 Mustang isn't really a sports car, technically neither is a V8.. they're sports coupes, but that's besides the point... you don't buy a v6 Mustang/Camaro/Charger/Challenger to go fast.. and if you do - that's your own dumass fault.  It doesn't make it less of a Mustang (the fact that it's a V6), but you just have to know your place.

DISCLAIMER: This doesn't apply to V6's that run 400rwhp.  There is always the exception to the rule!
