ILUVMYSTANG -> Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/5/2008 2:59:28 PM)

Hey everyone, for those who remember me, i havent been active on the forums in like 6 months. But im back! Im finally getting a new job and will be able to afford modding my 92 5.0 again =) !!!! So couple things on my mind about 5.0's... I have gone retarded and need some of your guys opinions and answers.

1. What do you guys think about rear window louvers on a Fox? If anyone has pic's of them on a fox please post them. (Ive never seen them on a fox)

2. What do you guys think the first 5 performance mods should be done to an almost stock fox. (Full exhaust already done)

3. Twin Turbos or Super Charger for low end speeds? 1-100 Which Brand would you go with?

4. Which Rims do you guys like on Fox's? (add year, color, and size that you would personally go with) I was thinkin' black Cobra's R's ...

thanks in advance =P

what do you think of the louvers? u like? then put em on

what kind of first 5 mods ? engine, suspension, etc?

what kind of budget?

and check out the rim websites where you can see what each set of rims look like on the car virtually, then decide what you like.[;)]

ILUVMYSTANG -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/5/2008 3:18:49 PM)

*Updated* the questions. Made them more specific

94StinkinLincoln -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/5/2008 8:26:21 PM)

well heads and intake and boost, 8psi is enough... thats fast

ILUVMYSTANG -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/5/2008 9:52:25 PM)

ill look into brands and pricing... anything else that might need to go along with all that? Maybe new suspension, im still running on stock from '92 o_O

P.S.I.cho -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/5/2008 10:14:10 PM)

imo the first thing that should ever be done to your car is rear suspension, and a gear swap. id leave the louvers off if it was my car but if u like them thats up to you, as for other mods, heads/cam/intake is the best money you can spend. i like my supercharger but then again i like the turbo setups as well. as for rims i like the cobra R rims on the foxes

^.... Exactly what im looking for... your guys opinions =) thanks for your imput.

trick flow twisted wedge heads, custom cam, intake of your choice, as for boost, if you wanna do it right, and have the money get a hellion kit ($5,000) its a steep price, but will last you with almost anything you want to do.

suspention, make sure your trannys gonna hold, gears, etc

ILUVMYSTANG -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/6/2008 7:23:55 PM)

yeah thats not cheap but if its as good as u say it is, ill look into more. Ihope the tranny will be fine...  i did replace it about a year ago... as for the gears i have  3.73's ready to be installed

btw in case it came off that way, i wasnt trying to be a jerk, i was more so stating that when it comes to customizing your cosmetics, do it how you want. for every 5 guys that think its cool there are 5 who wont...and for the power adders i agree  100% with P.S.I.cho . heads/cam/intake ...  post some pics along the way too!! [:)]

ILUVMYSTANG -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/6/2008 10:04:51 PM)

No worries i figured u just needed me to be more specific. And i know its 50/50 with guys opinions... But im stuck without alot of experience when i comes to working on cars. So im trying to figure out from all your guys opinions what sounds good to me.

Its the samething i do with everything else in life. If there is something (Ex: Six flags or Disneyland) i didnt know much or anything about, i would ask questions to my friends, (Ex: what do you think is more fun for a 20 year old?) and from their opinions i would analize and figure out what i think would be more fun (Six flags or disneyland).

So thats a basic example of what im trying to do here. Figure out what everyone would do to their stang if they were in my position. Then i analize =)

This is why im waiting for more responces on this topic... such as Quoting others who have replied and saying "I Agree" or "+1" or giving their opinions. ****, I would love it if this thread turned into a debate on what should be the first 5 things done to an almost completely stock stang

302army187 -> RE: Couple Questions... (5/6/2008 10:11:35 PM)

first 5?
imo

gears
exhaust
intake
tires
and then id go over the car and fix weak points, ie high mileage tranny, engine, etc.

then when you get into the big stuff, h/c/i , and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!

92Rideagain -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/7/2008 3:45:14 AM)

How much do you have to spend??  First thing that I would do is the brakes, the downside to having so much horespower and speed is having to stop.  You could buy complete kits or do the junkyard conversion with 94 or 96 and up pieces that would also change your wheel options and give you better stopping power.  Once you have your stopping power in place go after the horsepower!!!

P.S.I.cho -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/7/2008 10:09:40 AM)

if you want more help choosing supercharger vs turbo check out pipes boost and juice area of the forums, there are lots of articles and a lot of people trying to make the same descisions, i wouldnt spend the money on the above hellion kit as the price is way to high, there are quality turbo kits out there for a lot less then 5,000 , you could probly get one for under 4,000

I like the way you think =P Im going to add that to the first 3 list... So far im thinkin...

Brakes
Suspension
H/C/I
TT or SS

As for non-performace items... hood scoop/hood, Rear Windw Louver if i can find some pitures of a fox that has them first, Rims

getafewlives -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/7/2008 9:18:32 PM)

I'm not a fan of the window louvers, instead I would get a dark tint on the back window.
For rims I would go with either Saleen replicas or 03 cobra replicas, or if you did a 5 lug swap bullets are also nice on a GT.

ILUVMYSTANG -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/8/2008 2:43:09 PM)

yeah im still trying to figure out if im going to like the Louvers or not... i like them on the SN95's and S197's, thats why i want to find out how they look on a fox. and the sleen rep's are nice =P

getafewlives -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/8/2008 9:41:54 PM)

the s197 ones are nice. But a fox with the back window tinted looks better.

5.0stang123 -> RE: Couple Questions... (Need Your Opinions!) (5/8/2008 10:12:05 PM)

From his pic in his sig looks like his windows are all ready tinted
