Default Peoples reactions when the see you in your stang

Got the mustang back on the road about a week ago. I forgot how much fun it is to drive!! I also forgot about all the people who stop and stare as you're cruising down the road. Is it just me or does this get irritating sometimes? I mean, i was drivng down a pretty busy road yesterday and it didn't matter how fast or slow i went there would be people who insisted on riding my bumper, and driving right along side me on both sides, this wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that they were looking at me, and my car and not the road! I'm just scared one of these days someone is going to take to long of a look and nail me.. What are your guys opinions?

I get a lot of comments from people...everything from "great car" to "what year is that "

It seems like everyone has a story about a late 60's model Stang they owned when they see yours.

I have not had any problems with people watching me instead of the road however.

Last weekend i was cruising and came to a nasty area of us-23 where everyone always seems to come to a complete stop... for no real reason, on a 70mph freeway!

so we get into it, and are moving maybe 15mph, bumper to bumper traffic and a Toyota Sequoia SUV pulls up next to me full of kids maybe 18-19, and they had their window down staring at me. /i finally gave them the time of day and looked over.

The driver yells out "Wanna trade?"

my response:

"Why would I trade something that gets me pu**y for something that makes me look like one?"

lol at waffle's comment

In My Fox, i dont really get compliments, but i LOVE it when i take off from a stopsign in a residential area, and theres some bitch up ahead walking, and they just turn around and stare at me until im out of sight, what i do when that happens, right before im out of sight, i rev the thing to 6k

i dont drive the mach much, but ive heard/gotten nice car/thumbs up while i was riding shotgun

but by far, i got the most attention in the chevelle when it ran. in ONE 2 minute trip to the store, i got 3 thumbs up, 5 people staring at my car, and 3 nice cars. and then i got cut off [:@] but then proceded to pass the guy with that 454 a roarin

i usually get lots of head turns, "nice car", and "is that yours?"

I love every minute of it, can't wait to get it out of storage once the ground dries up

I get lots of "How much are you selling it for" and as gas stations there is always some guy who wants to come impart me with his knowledge of exahust systems and how my exhuast being dumped infront of the rear tires will make them melt on the track

And to that I say One: Sir I don't run the track so it doesn't make a difference to me and two if carroll shelby put them on the GT-350 they must be ok.

Ya, I usually get the thumbs up or at least a stare... The day I bought the car my dad drove it home with me following in another car (he didnt think it was safe) and it was pretty cool cuz I could see everyone gawk at it.

I have gotten a couple people asking me to do burnouts or 'peel out' but i dont have enough power for that...[:@]

Like SJ said tho, almost EVERYONE i talk to who is like 45+ has a story of a mustang they used to have or their parents did or something like that. Its really amazing how much of an influence a simple car had over a generation. Both of my parents drove mustangs as their first cars, and my grandpa owned a 65, 66, and 67 cuz he loved them so much. I love telling people I have a 66 and have them tell me a story about their mustang and most of them say it was their favorite car they ever had.

oh ya, and sometimes ppl ask 'is that your dads?' or something like that...

and it is a little unnerving that people stop paying attention to the road to look. the other day these two kids in a jeep were staring at my car and almost hit the mail truck on the side of the road... one of my friends rear ended someone checking out a car, and I seriously think my first accident/ticket will be because im checking out a car. A bugatti veyron passed me on the highway once (im not kidding, and yes i crapped my pants) and i floored it to try to keep up and check it out but i got going pretty fast and backed off... and i catch myself not paying as close attention when a nice car passes me...

I get lots of "Nice cars" "It looks good" and "What year is that?". I love driving down the road seeing somebody stop dead in their tracks to point and stare at my car. Although the other day somebody said "Boy, I bet you were happy when you got that handed to you."[:@]
