Well I was looking to supercharge my stang and saw that on brenspeed they have a stage 4 saleen blower with 540 HP. Would else would I need. Even though 540hp might not be around my budget area.
Passing 500rwhp requires some extra money to play with 15000.00 -18000.00 to get to the 600-650 mark and if you want to pass go to 700-750 You had better be ready to dig DEEP . I know that for about 5-6k I made 500/450 with my Procharger p1 set up and some days I wish I had it again at 425/380 and still having fun with my car it has been 16 mo since I have driven my car . My point is if you go for to much or try to push the limit then be prepared to pay the price as it is large and you will have down time.
I bought my P1SC and pushed it to 550 on the stock block. I blew my block that day my car was down until I could get money to replace every thing that broke in the process plus a motor. I would of had more fun driving a 400rwhp car around then looking at a garage ordiment
I have been going two years on stock block over 500 HP to the wheels. The key to keeping it together at that level is a safe tune (11.5 A/F) and good fuel. I run 100 octane all the time. Any detonation at all running this level power and the little toothbrush sized rods could disintegrate. The other factor that kills these stock motors is over-revving them. I suspect the two Prochargers that killed their motors (above) were exceeding 6400 RPM. Prochargers can make power easily to 7000 RPM. These little rods just cant take that much RPM under boost. I have my shiftpoints set for 6100 RPM even though I am still making power at 6300 RPM. I will do a forged shortblock some point in the future but I am still pushing the stock block this year.
I was under 6000 when it blew, just bad luck with me. We were doing my street tune and were datalogging it the entire time. No signs of detonation just flate out bad luck and to much power. I think 500 is the limit for power and thing higher is a huge risk. I had 545rwhp
10lbs pulley that made 9.5psi I watched a guy blow his motor with a roush blower making 415rwhp at the dealership lol thats bad luck but luckly for him every thing was covered. For mine yeah no dice...
But the best thing about being in the blown motor club is that most of us are also memebers of the 5.0 Stroker club as well :)
From my research, it is to get as much HP as you can with no more than 10lbs of boots... It isn't the HP that blows it, it's the boost level that does...

What kind of research? Have you been testing stock blocks with various boost levels? I have been on 11 PSI for two years. My boost gauge hits 13 PSI easily on a cool day.
Just a gathered pool of everyones blown engines story. Nothing scientific so chill out... Glad you haven't blown it, but I can't say I don't want it to now so I can say, "Told ya so..."
