-Pro- Good for Street/Off Road Can take camping/Hunting Won't have people trying to race me every 5 seconds More reputable/reliable Requires less maintenance Less Insurance/Less Interest
-Cons- More expensive($1200 more) Less of a panty dropper Not as cool looking Worse gas mileage
Which would you get? I'm stuck!

pro's: best price (about 5k cheaper) best gas milage panty dropper (if you dig geriatrics) classic design no need for financing
con's none come to mind
umm... here's a con... it's not a schwinn.... (I'm talking original USA schwinn... not when they were bought out by pacific, cheap-ified and sold in walmarts.)
hahahah, No, I didn't say I didn't ride it, I just don't ride it very much, its semi old, but it only has about 1,200 miles on it. I have to start driving it more anyway, with the way gas prices are going up

Well, that's not a 500 but the new Ninja 250! I got mine several months ago. The base price is only $3500 but they are extremely hard to find right now, with $1000+ markups! Just like my 2005 Mustang GT had! there's a ton of info here: http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Main_Page
It's pretty much a required bike for your first bike. If you've ridden scooters a lot then you might be able to start out with the 500. Do not start out with a 600 sportbike. Unless I have a terminal disease and you are my blood type!
So you'll need to edit your pros & cons. The 250 is not very fast, and buzzes too much on the freeway once you go above 60mph. But it's very lightweight, great looking and handles the curves as good as bikes costing 3 times as much. Plus most people won't even know it's only a 250. Oh, and I'm getting over 50mpg! I will probably trade up to the 500 (thought about the 650R ninja but insurance rates would be 3-4 times higher) if it gets the same updated look next year.

I'm stuck between getting a:
2008 Kawasaki Ninja 500R - MSRP $5100 -Pro- Higher top speed Better gas mileage Faster Cooler looking Panty dropper Less expensive($1200 less)
-Pro- Good for Street/Off Road Can take camping/Hunting Won't have people trying to race me every 5 seconds More reputable/reliable Requires less maintenance Less Insurance/Less Interest
-Cons- More expensive($1200 more) Less of a panty dropper Not as cool looking Worse gas mileage
yeah the ninjas, and pretty much all bikes are typically quick... but trust me--- you'll eventually want more. I say either a 2007 CBR1000RR, or a Yammy R1.... JMO

Speed cost Money.... How Fast do you wanna go????
(n20, 3.73''s, World heads, Custom cam, Ported u/l''r Power Products intake, BBK stuff, ARP parts, QA1 susp., Moser axles, MSD diggy 6, E-fan, EFI, Built PA C4)... there''s more- trust me
Meehhh.. 250's would be a good starter bike methinks, but you get bored and very used to those things VERY quick.. If you've got any kind of riding experience, look for a used 02/03 GSX-R 750.. Very nice with good acceleration, but doesn't have the "you're stupid if you're not a pro and you buy me" thing going for it like the 900's, 1000's and 1100's have. lol Personally, if I ever have enough money to get another bike, I want a 97 Ducati 916. Just about my favorite bike of all time.. Now if only they didn't still cost 10 grand..
