ORIGINAL: ANBAUTO damn sorry for the troubles you have but im sure youll enjoy your new setup even more... with saying that and seeing this thread im really scared to run my car that hard now with my procharger i know im only boosting 8lbs and its not running lean but its still scary to see these threads I ran 9.5-10.5 psi on mine regularly. If your tune is good, you don't make too much power and you don't mess with stuff you should be fine. Well right now its only getting to 8psi at most because i only take it to 5800-6k im putting down 450rwhp and about 405 rwtq Ive upgraded to larger FMIC and better BOV with the current tune i got in there it does not lean out and i actually think its a little on the rich side.

You should be just fine. The tune I had peaked the TQ in about the 4600 RPM range and then really dwindled away after that. Instead of keeping the really flat TQ curve like it was supposed it started loosing HP above 5,000 rpms instead of building it or atleast maintaining it. The thing pulled like a beast. I hate roll races, but would get challenged by 600 sport bikes regularly, I would pull them and or hold them off through 3rd and 4th. The car made great power, it just wasn't perfect, so I messed with it and really screwed it up. I hope so ive been thinking about getting back on the dyno just to make sure shes still running right. Jamil Im using the can tune I got from ProCharger and changed it from there. I did all the adjustments through the handheld and all of it was on the dyno with a a/f to make sure

ORIGINAL: blueherd02gt I agree but it's all the same.. When you talk a trade..whether it be electrical, plumbing, hvac or mechanic, reputation will make or brake you.. My point was, as large as California is surely there are enough shops to do the trick. I live in a one trick town and there are two here probably 20 miles apart that I'd trust to build a motor for me..let alon do the work. quote:

ORIGINAL: blueherd02gt I know what you mean. I honestly would put 10k in a motor build and do it right. Honestly I'd get a 298cu/in stroker motor and be done with it. It sounds like ST needs to hire some wrenches and expand. They ,miight be loosing customers with their waiting list... I have more respect for a shop that would turn me away because they have to much on their plate, than one that would string me along because they don't want to lose any business. That's what happened with my gears and I found a shop that needed the business. The other shop lost my business forever. well for me its not about them expanding and making there shop bigger its about who is working on my car. They can open up 100 Spankin Time's but the only person who will tune my car is Adam. Just like the only guy who wrenches on my car is my buddy Matt from Caliber Customs in Fresno. Its really not about which shop touches my car and I am sure its the same for every one else its about who we allow to work on our car. There will all ways be a HUGE waiting list for the best mechanics. If I turn my car over to ST for engine work I expect it to take a while to get done. What I all ways tell people who touch my car. Just take your time and dont get in a hurry.

ORIGINAL: Simon1 I was going to drive 550 or so this morning but some things fell through and I can't leave yet. I am driving a 1,000 mile round trip to have ST Motorsports install s/c and tune on June 18th! Bottom line is I am looking for someone who can as close as possible guarantee the longevity/livelihood of my engine and car's performance. By all accounts, I have heard nothing but the best about Adam @ ST. I have had three blown engines in an import racer I built. IT is the WORST!!!! Costs big $$$$, and is a royal pain in the A$$$$!!! I am an attorney. Just like they say about the CA Bar Exam, "do it right, do it once, never do it again!!!!"
