to clarify, i wasnt suggesting a neutral drop. i was just saying that i believe it would result in a burnout. i havent and wont do it due to the risk of damaging the trans. that isnt to say people dont do it. ive seen lots of autos launch from a netural drop that dont have a high stall converter they can get up on.

This is something we did back it the 70's go to a junk yard and get a windsheild washer set up. Put it in the trunk and run the hoses to squirt the tires run a power wire to a toggle switch .Put a little bleach water in the bottle hit the switch and it's SMOKE city!! Plus it saves brakes and wear and tear on the motor.Only down side is, it's so easy you"ll burn thru more tires.
Pull her up to a wall, touch wall with bumper. Release the brake and floor it at the same time using both feet to accomplish this. If that dont work, pour some bleach on the rear tires and try again. Still no burnout, call your tuner and complain about the low end torque.
I didn't have problems smoking mine after the X install, but I have stocker rims. I would still think you'd be able to smoke the new 18 inchers. Don't wreck anything trying for the burnout though...traction is good for dragging ya know

Wierd!! Especially with no traction control. Should be able to burn out fairly easy. Even just hitting the gas. OK Ill ask...Are you sure you dont have TCS?
sounds like you got my valet tune. dont be in such a hurry to waste your tires. hec all i do is touch the brake and floor it. sounds like the old man detuned the car. LOL
