Good day outside to do some detail work, so I detailed my mom's truck. This is the truck we take everywhere for anything, and it gets driven through anything, she'll take it down an old two track while hunting and trees and branches will squeal the whole way down the side of the truck. The before pictures are actually pictures taken after washing it at a car wash with the soap, foam brush and rinse, the whole deal, it actually was that dirty, oxidated and scratched after a pretty thorough washing.

After the wash I hit it with OD light polish (since I didn't have a more aggressive one) and followed it up with OD Hyper Shine Sealant, both done with the PC.

Looks pretty damn good for a daily beater.  Got love those brush/ram guards you are sportin' on those trucks....it just screms "Get the hell out of my way, or else!"

I just bought a '94 F350 Dually that is in similar condition.....plenty of tree-brush scratches down the side.  When I can get around to it I will be starting out with the yellow pad and some hyper compound, and moving down to the orange/compound and then white/polish from there.  I'm hoping to see most of the scratches disappear.

If you drove that truck around the lakes in my area, everyone would be screaming 'EPO!' and hiding their beer.

Funny you should mention that, about 3 years ago after we just got back from an all day drive back from Texas over Christmas we had it parked in front of the house with the trailer still hooked up. Sometime over night a college student not used to driving on the snow lost control of his car and ran head on into the front of the truck, pushed the truck and the trailer back about 6 inches. It totaled the front end of his car. The only damage to our truck was some paint scraped off that grill guard. We've also used that gold truck behind the green one to push the green one when the battery was dead too, just drive the gold one up to the front slowly and push away.

I'd recommend those Ranch Hand grill guards any day, they're not anything like those silly chrome or aluminum ones most people put on for looks. They're nice strong steel and bolted to the frame, you can't really damage them.

Same here...forest green must be a common color for the Conservation Officer vehicles.
