I have an off road x pipe (Bassani) with the Borla Stingers and it sounds great.

My mileage went up around 1-1.5 mpg after ditching the cats.

It is loud though, my friends at work say they can hear me coming from 3 blocks away.

I personally don't like Pypes midpipes, they are of lower quality, but other people here say they're alright.

Go with the o/r h for a deeper rumble. Sounds good with the stingers. Setup I have. Not many running an o/r x and stingers.

Any X-pipe set up will give you more of a "raspy" tone whereas the H-pipe will give you more of a deeper rumble.  I ran both and liked the h-pipe set up better.  However if you're going cat-less, be prepared for failing emissions and getting a lot of popping when decelerating.  its nothing to worry about just nothing preventing the back pressure with the cats being removed.

+1 on the pypes being a lower quality brand.  I have them now and I'm selling them just because I keep having exhaust leaks from the collectors, get a good set of midpipes (i.e. MAC, Hooker, JBA or Magnaflows).

I had the offroad X on my Roush and it sounded wonderful and it was faster than the C300 with cats and J pipes. +1 on the emissions.....your state better not have inspections

yea they dont check emissions here so thats not a problem.. i was going to purchase the H pipe from brenspeed since i already have the tunes.. and i get a free tune to shut off the check engine light.. the problem is.. i am told that the H pipe is now a 4 piece.. and they say that causes alot of exhaust leaks....  it used to be a more solid 2 piece.... what do u guys think?>

I just installed the Pypes H I bought from Brenspeed about a week ago.  Yes it is a 4 piece now, but if you get good exhaust clamps you should not have any leaks.  The 2 clamps they give you to clamp the down pipes from the manifolds to the H sections are not very good.  I went to the auto parts store and bought 2x 2.5 inch exhaust clamps (similar to the one supplied for the crossover H section).  Anyways those worked very well.  I did take mine off last weekend to weld it just to be sure it will not leak. From what I could tell I never had or would have a leak with the clamps on.  The only problem you might have with Pypes o/r H is a tight fit to the exhaust manifolds.  See my post below on how I made a tight fit.

This is the video that sold me on the Stingers with the o/r x:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfTKXzrPp4I

Give it about 2 minutes to get to the good stuff.

I'm running FRPP shorty headers, Bassani o/r x, and the Borla Stingers. It sounds sick.

The straight through can mufflers are the only one's that sound good with an o/r x.
